2 losses or less will make next year one of the best years ever.

I expect great things from this team so IMO anything less than a championship is a failure.

You better be ready for disappointment then

For the typical LSU fan, every year is either win it all or it's a bust.

but we are really young in a lot of spots on defense. That team was a veteran group

What do you call the 2011 defense? Young. And probably the best we've ever had. Our D will be great again. These sophomores are hungry to prove themselves just like 2011. Call me crazy but I'm gonna say 2013 D> 2012 D. I know I know. Laugh all you want.

Alabama fans hold that mentality.

Why is it unreasonable for LSU fans to think the same?

With that said, however, the team is likely looking at ~4 losses next year with the schedule.

And they've held that mentality from 92 til 2009.

Don't act like their delusion just started happening.

Biggest question for next year - a "bend but don't break" defense
The onus probandi may have shifted from O to D.
We'll see if Chief can shore up that 2012 late season weakness.

I do love the rant...

It is possible the offense will see improvement the first year under a new coordinator (simply being a better play caller than the previous coordinator would improve the existing offense), but it generally takes time to install a new offense.

Cameron may be able to take what we have, evaluate the opposing team's defensive film, and call plays better than what we have. He likely will not improve the offense tremendously his first year because he will not have had time to install his system and run his offense 100%.

We lost too much on defense. If the offense plays well I still see two losses

Just a month ago you dumb rantards were crying we'd lose 4-5 games this year. Now it's BCS or bust. Crazy.

neither one. the reality is that our defense is way too inexperienced to be a championship team unless we get an incredible amount of lucky breaks AND our offense makes a quantum leap. to me, realism dictates that we will be a better offensive team that is fun to watch but will drop 2 or 3 close, but exciting games.
