You guys are dumbasses. A guy who sits in the program for 1 YEAR is a lost cause. Do you realize how long it takes to develop QBs to start in the SEC? Jennings could take a huge maturity step next year for all you know. It will be going into his 3rd year which is a very real possibility. I've seen many QBs look horrible and then the next year they're like a different QB. Hell, Mett did it here.
I do think we'll see a huge step from Harris next year but it will still be growing pains at the QB position.

We had to deal with it with welter starting for far too long when it was obvious to everyone.. Hopefully we don't have to deal with it too much longer on Jennings starting over our more skilled quarterback.
This.
I don't think it is necessarily favoritism, but Les showed that in order to overtake someone ahead of you, you need to be leaps and bounds ahead of them. I think it is because until you are leaps and bounds better than the one in front of you, Les is more comfortable with going with what he knows and expects because he can account for it in the game plan. It's kind of like being in relationship and staying in it because your comfortable. Even though you know there may be greener grass elsewhere, you choose to stay for the fear that there may not. Some people take the chance, and some hang around until there's no grass, or that greener grass is staring them right in the face. Les is latter.

Jt Barrett for Ohio st had a terrible 3 int game at home as a redshirt freshman and lost.. But then he bounced back to have heisman like numbers this season after his one bad outing
The big difference here being that the starter Barrett was replacing was lost for the year due to injury. So, if they were to replace Barrett after that poor outing they would have gone farther down the depth chart.

"There are times that Les's decision making absolutely frustrates the shite out of me, but I don't think he is in the business of intentionally trying to lose games. He plays the guys who he thinks gives his team the best chance to win. We may not always agree. He may not always be right. But that is the way it is. Really was just an example of how Miles has consistently freaked up the QB situation for years.
Lee just wasn't that strong mentally but how could you blame him considering the pressure. He knew he what was coming and you could easily see it the Kentucky game.
Miles is horrible at Quaterback.

At the point that he got benched, Lee led the conference in pass efficiency
Ga. led the conference when Lee was benched since he was benched after the Bama game.
Lee had done a fine job up to Bama in managing the game. The guy was just not able to perform 95% of the time vs. Bama for whatever the reason.

Do you see it more as Les favoring Jennings
Jennings beating out Harris
Harris not taking time to learn playbook
or other
I guess that would depend on how AJ plays next year. If he is markedly improved and we are winning (or losing but not because of QB play), then who cares the reason.
My concern, like that of many, is that Miles has already annointed AJ and it won't change no matter how good Bh is or how bad AJ is.
Either way, we will likley never learn the real reason.

Is that 5% when Lee stepped up in the pocket to seal the game ending Bama's title run in '10?

I imagine Miles and Cameron have discussed the QB situation a lot this year--just like everyone else in Tiger Football Nation has. And I think they simply believe Jennings gives them a better shot at winning.
That says to me that Harris just doesn't get the game at the SEC level--or, even less than Jennings does. That's how they see it.
As for me, I just hope they're looking at JUCO ABs--as a much needed third option or just insurance. I see another 8-4 year if we go into 2015 with the same QBs we had in 2014.

If jennings beats out harris then harris has to be terrible
Posted on 12/6/14 at 2:06 pm to la champ1
Harris clearly won the Spring game battle, AJ was AJ, he threw 2 pick Sixes. A Jennings 2 Completions a half and 1 usually an INT,IF THAT gives LSU the Best chance of Winning then LSU is not in bad shape, WE are in HORRIBLE SHAPE. LSU's only chance was to do what Ohio ST did, go with the Freshman and work with his development while preparing for the future. Flynn was Jimbo Fishers Work.Been bad every since./Bleacher Report- Miles development OF QBS in HIS TENURE AT LSU HAS BEEN ABYSMAL. Behind the scenes talk was Cam did if fact want Harris, but as a good soldier only would say it was Miles call.

No doubt one of our key plays to that win over Bama.

Other , what is needed is one QB that can do what the two can do, . What we have is one can run the other can step back and toss the ball so OTHER

from those that i talk to in the program (and it's a lot of them and i always ask), this is the reason they all give me.... they say Brandon just doesn't get it yet, as far as the totality of the offense, and Jennings has the edge in that department... when i ask about who's better they all pretty much say Brandon, but Les is rewarding AJ for his hard work and dedication, despite what it may look like on game day... they hint that Les doesn't trust Brandon yet

Harris is a true Freshman, relax.

Come on YA'll, What's This, Brandon doesn't get the Offense, WHAT ALL 3 PLAYS

it doesn't matter, really, because Miles could have Johnny Unitas backing up Peyton Manning, both in their prime, and he'd STILL manage to lose at least 2 games...
i will say that i'm hoping Brandon matures, gets in the film room all offseason, gets with his receivers, and balls out in Spring and wins the confidence of the staff to become the starter, because i can't see him sitting another 2 years under AJ, which will end up being the case if he doesn't unseat him as the starter this offseason...
