Pure fricking bullshite!

Aranda is one of the highest paid - if not the highest - coordinators in the game. Coaches change jobs all the time, but if some rival school throws an obscene amount of money at him, you imply it's O's fault he leaves.

At some point, somebody has to look at cost-benefit. If all you want to do is win at all cost - without any guarantee that ANY coach will get you there - then go back to your juvenile fantasyland. That will be Alleva's responsibility, not O's, and you won't have a clue what goes into those deliberations. (And neither will anyone else on the outside.)

I'm not by any means an O apologist, but damn, some of you O-negatives are stupid, impulsive, knee-jerk, unbearable jackasses.

I didn’t imply that.

I’m implying O is an incompetent head coach and if Aranda goes we need someone that doesn’t need to rely on coordinators.

But you’re too dull to understand that.

He’s not overrated. He’s also not worth over 3 million dollars a year as a DC. Someone was going to come for him eventually, not shocking that it’s people with Texas oil money who will do whatever it takes to win.

So you guys are happy with coordinator turnover with O as HC? Is that a recipe for sustained success?

Bunch of dumb fricks in here.

If we don’t care about coordinators leaving then we need a strong HC.

I'm just glad people are freaking out over another rumor. Carry on brother, make it hurt.

These "rumors" are coming from A&M writers who had the details of the Jimbo deal before the ink was dry.

Keep your head in the sand brother, it's good for the skin.

What in the wide world of sports is going on in here?

But seriously this is friggin wild. If this happens I will be going from critical and concerned to full out down about our prospects for a while. The plane will have crashed into the mountain. Who thought it could get this bad this quick?

We’re going to riot like it’s Iran. Minus violence.

Spray painting rocks like tennesee is ok though.

And this is why Alleva's move of hiring Orgeron is coming back to bite him on the arse. Assuming LSU can match what A&M is offering Aranda, it is in the position of having a coordinator who makes as much as the head coach. Or it may give both Aranda and Orgeron a raise. Either way, Alleva boxed LSU in. What a frick up LSU has for an AD.

How's that?

He just needs to hire a new DC. The four teams in the playoffs didn't have Aranda.

They didn't have Orgeron either.

If Aranda leaves then O's model of paying for the best coordinators around will have already totally collapsed after one year. It is as simple as that. This model was the entire thing that O sold himself on. That we apparently can't keep up with other schools is just proof that the model could never work. Of course Alleva deserves his share of the blame for ever buying into the sale pitch in the first place.

If Aranda is about to bolt then we need to fire O and promote Aranda to HC immediately
