And people here are defending him like he's Golden. Dude can't keep a damn job anywhere he goes. I don't understand how people can't see that. But you already know, "if we can't blame Coach O for the weather being unpredictable then let's not blame anybody else at all". Pathetic arse dudes on here

How did that go in the national championship?

Seems like he cut bait too soon.

it's tough to believe that LSU is still this bad at media relations and public perception. We are talking historic levels of bad. This entire situation is yet another debacle.

Yes. It is tough to believe. But, it's the truth. You've hit the nail on the head. Let's look at the end of 2015 season. Everyone, including Miles, thought he was gone. Alleva was talking to Fisher. Alleva however didn't take the time to get a sanity check with HIS boss (Alexander), to see if there was the stomach/political climate to pay Miles a huge buyout while paying Fisher north of $7M per year.

We know the outcome. Which, could have been prevented if Alleva, and Alexander -- both very well-compensated executives, had simply taken the time to talk to each other. "Hey F. King, Joe here. I want to fire Miles, pay his hefty buyout, and hire Jimbo Fisher at $7M per year. How does that sound?" "Joe, we can't do that. The Governor is on my arse about higher ed funding; we simply can't shell out that kind of money, for appearances' sake." "OK F. King, glad we spoke. I'll just drop this."

Had THAT happened, LSU wouldn't have generated all the incredibly negative press.

These men are highly-paid. They suck at their jobs.

NOW ... what do we have? Would it surprise anyone if LSU winds up keeping Canada? Why do I say that? B/c ol' Uncle Ed perhaps is in over his white shrimp boots. What happens when an actual LSU decision-maker says, "Are you friggin' kidding me? We ain't paying $3M to buyout the OC's contract after one freakin' year, b/c you two 'don't like each other."

How about you take your own fricking advice and have pride in the team and coaches you root for?

How? When the team needs game plans to close out a Notre Dame team that's pretty legit? Please tell me where leaving them on the recruiting trail was beneficial for our bowl game. Don't worry, I'll wait.....

Which proves how stupid and uneducated you are.

You must have been a Jimbo hater since that’s all u could rebutt with. I can talk football with Ricky daddy and shorty rob and others. We’ve laid out stats and facts here for ages. Since you agree with ghost writer that Canada wasn’t the answer how about you go tell that to Andy Reid. You think Jimbo sux go tell that to saban. You know what saban said about him? Nah you’re clueless. Now get back to work cleaning that bathroom At Dairy Queen little billy.

As soon as you become the HC then you can decide who works for you and who don't. Basically, if you don't like it you can hit the bricks also.

You and Canada can leave together and you can be his cheerleader at his next stop. Don't get comfortable there though!

WHAT?! Orgeron hired this man! Promised he would only hire the very best. This man was the very best! Won assistant coach of the year award. Pitt offense put up 43 pts. per game. Beat NC Clemson at Clemson. The offense actually outgained Alabama this year.

Is Canada perfect? Of course not. And to be very honest, if Orgeron replaces him with Sarkisian, I'll be OK with that.

But "defending him like he's Golden"???!!! Orgeron TOLD US HE WAS GOLDEN! What is wrong with some of you people??

Orgeron has the right to make staff changes, he's the head coach. But, he doesn't go scot-free if he winds up firing a coach that HE hired with great fanfare and at great cost, after ONE year! His hiring judgment MUST be called into question! Do you not see this???

So he won bc of Aranda and Canada the losses are on O? Great logic! How many points did Arandas defense give up to State? How many points did Canada score on State? I thought the narrative was O meddled with the offense against Troy...now it’s against State also?

The majority of the blame goes on inexperienced personnel for the early season woes. O cleaned that up. I gave him major props.

I was providing a specific example of O meddling on offense that cost us a game against a Sun Belt team. After, O let his coordinators do their thing and all is well

Canada and Aranda are the direct cause for the team's success

You obviously don't want what's best for the university and the players so I have no reason why I should defend myself from your accusations that I'm a "Canada cheerleader"

Make no mistake. If this is a trade for a big fish like Hugh Freeze, I will applaud the decision.

For now, I will view this as a major mistake from a team, PR, and financial perspective

February 2017

It'll be ok. Stop acting like Canada is Bill Walsh and Orgeron is Corky Thatcher. That's really not the case, and I'm not a big Orgeron guy. People are making too much of this.

Please. That offense produced over 30 points. It was his defense that lost that game. Giving up 500 yards and 21 points with the lead in the 4th. Bad argument.
