I would like to know what our DC didn't see in HP in the Fla St game and Tenn game where he played very little. Head scratcher

Let Perkins rush from one end solo occupying the tackle and rb and overload/blitz from the other side

Simple. Too hung up on schematics and technique.
You gotta think, these coaches whole career is based on outsmarting other coaches, making sure players play sound fundamental football. Players are to be in an exact spot on every individual play. Etc. It's a PRECISE game of inches.
Then a guy like Perkins shows up and says frick all that, just let me fly.
It's hard to live that free...especially when your making $2-10m a year.

He blows coverage assignments. BK has been fairly transparent with what is limiting him. Rightful to question his positive vs negative plays but that’s the decision process
