Agree but Vern needs to go. His age is really showing. Only bright side is no more Tebo for him to drone on about even when he wasn't doing a Gator game.

Verne hasn't always been as bad as he is now, but I'd like to see someone good with Gary before HE gets too old. Gary is definitely one of my favorites because he knows his shite, which is rare these days.

About as banal, childish and predictable an announcing job as if some regular Tigerdroppings.com pajama-wearing fan were calling the game for his team in between posting on the SEC-Rant.

Verne is kind of like your grandpa sitting in watching the game making comments. If he says something that is just plain wrong and everybody knows it, you just nod and continue on normally. They put him with Danielson whos probably the best in the biz IMO.

Verne says some weird shite. I usually only half way pay attention to the commentary, but I like Verne's voice. Hearing him on the call, you know we're in a huge game.

I like the work of Blackledge and Nessler. Straight shooters. Verne is an arse that Danielson has to tote like an anchor.

Verne is a Georgia, Bama, Florida, homer. Anyone else in the SEC is just 2nd level for him. I heard him on a sports talk show one night and he actively recruits high schools for Georgia.
