they are good in that they don't try to overtake the game. Blackledge actually gives decent analysis without HYPE which is a lost art in the profession. Nestler is just a dime a dozen play by play guy and he does nothing to add to or take away from the broadcast

Danielson is the greatest football analyist/color guy that perhaps has ever lived (college or pro)...The man knows what he is talking about. He also played the game himself at a very high level but doesn't opine about that really ever. He is the most prepared and insightful Analyst I have ever watched. He's not quite as entertaining as John Madden, but he brings heaps more insight to the intelligent fan.

Brad Nessler is great play-by-play man.

Ron Franklin is the best IMO.

Danielson is a good color analyst - it's just that he works with Vern (who was great in his day - but it's probably time to retire).

I agree with you on danielson.
Dude knows his shite... If he gives Alabama a mins worth more attention than LSU, kids here get all bent out of shape.

Personally, I wish I could sync up my Direct TV with Hawthorne/Moreau/Rush on the radio. The radio announcers are always a good 5 seconds ahead of the TV.

I know Hawthorne is slipping, but I'd still rather him than just about any of those national guys.

Nope. Just pointing out the fact that you come off as an idiot every time you post.

Sorry it bothers you so much, it's pretty much an unconscious thing. Hope you can get over it.

As a CFB fan, i like Verne. Sure he makes mistakes but he is extremely witty and has a great voice. Just youtube his call on LSU Fake FG against USCe. Its outstanding.

Eta: on same play GD's take is also great. At first he was criticizing Miles play call on 3rd but then realized Miles was just setting up the fake on 4th. He then gave Miles credit and took back the criticism.

WOW.

Last year and year before...in Bama games, Danielson got the replay wrong multiple times...it was plain for the audience to see..."that he was or wasn't down and it was a fumble" but Danielson insisted on the wrong view.

And HE CONSTANTLY DOES THAT! Insists on the wrong view, which turns out to be wrong.

He misses plays, he can't see the field properly even on replays...and lo, Verne calls Manziel sacked against Bama when he's still running around...those two paired together are like two blind mice.

The ONLY reason people on here love Danielson is because he is the biggest shill for the SEC and he says things SEC-honks like to hear.

In terms of competence, he sucks and he couldn't carry Keith Jackson's jockstrap on his best day - nor even Musbergers...who though older, isn't senile like Verne or Danielson.
