I don't give a shite about style. I want to win a nc no matter how the offense looks or who is at qb or OC.
people keep believing lm loves jj. wrong. lm made the decision that jj gave him the best chance to win. thats all. I don't understand how thats so hard to see give 16 picks by jl and 7 pic 6. lm was in no way ever going to replay that pic 6 movie again. so he chose the next guy in line jj.

I think most of us agree, Lee gives us a better chance at having a complete team.

My take is that both Lee and Jefferson have been prone to panic. When Lee panics he gets myopic and doesn't see the defenders. When Jefferson panics he runs, sometimes with poor results and sometimes with spectacular results. On balance I like Jefferson's production during panic. However, I've seen Lee throw amazing passes.
If we can protect the quarterback at the line, Lee is the better. IF protection breaks down, we are better off with Jefferson. It all comes down to blocking protection. Hoping that the line is better this year, I prefer Lee. We will know a lot about our line on Sunday, and then we may want Jefferson back.

jefferson was the better option in 2009 because the fricking offensive line was garbage
but not last year, and not this year where the line has been good

I don't think you're understanding something, dick. I'm not a "lee boy". I'll call any of them out for not doing their damn job. I'm not a big believer in excuses or free lunches.

lol wut?
Ciron Black and Herman Johnson?
since Lee's been named QB, there's been a few posts saying that the 08 OL was subpar and that was part of his struggles.
I know, crazy talk.

The 2008 OL was a fine OL. I think Lee got into trouble because the D was poor and it forced LSU to throw more than they wanted to. Also he was a RS freshman and made some mistakes attempting to get LSU back into the game and I think forced some throws he may or may not have done if the defense wasnt so bad and they were playing from behind.
I think he has matured and in 2010 threw only 1 INT in 89 attempts.
Obviously I am no JJ fan and would prefer Mett or Lee having won the job on the field but the die have been cast and I am perfectly happy to see Lee or if he isnt up to the challenge Mett lead the Tiger offense.
After watching JJ last year I really dont see how the offense could be any worse and I believe should be much better. Just having a qb who can hit Randle, Beckham, Peterson and the other wide receivers in stride should be a big improvement!

or to put it succinctly, he was a freshman in the SEC trying to do too much, and having too much asked of him. he'll be fine this yr.
PASSING RECORDS WILL FALL!

Crediting JJ for last year's win total is laughable

I guess some of u missed last season. Lee came off the bench & won 3 games for us as JJ faltered!

Rooooaaaaad is upset because his predictions for JJ never came to fruition

Let's not exaggerate history.

I don't care as much about jj or jl as I do about LSU. having said that, we are supposed to be in the nc hunt big time this year. I don't see anything in jl past that would lead any partially objective person to believe he could lead us to a nc.
I think jj starting gave us a better chance because he could run and that gave defenses something to game plan for and respectand we also had jl available to come in (like last year)
when needed. with no jj we lose the run option and the experienced backup option. no nc without jj but I must say I don't think we could win it with jj and no jl as backup. neither guy has PROVED to be good enough. we really need both.

The lee-tards are out in full force this morning. I'm hoping I get to see some more generic adjectives thrown around like "unquestionable heart and desire" and "good head on his shoulders".

They're making it hard, bruh. But I'm trying to hang on.

I don't understand why people find it so hard to understand that you can actually support both.
it seems like the these Lee guys want JJ crucified and never allowed to play again. I don't understand that.
I was actually getting called out yesterday by some of them for supporting Lee and hoping he does well....all because ive been pulling for JJ in this barfight shite. Its mind boggling

But he also couldn't pass the ball for shite (minus a few games). So their "gameplan" was to stack 8 or 9 guys in the box all game.
If Lee can come in and give us ANY kind of a passing game teams won't be able to stack 8 or 9 in the box all game. This coupled with the fact that the OLine is gonna be the best we've had since 08 and our RB's are gonna have a lot more holes to run through this year.
Lee gives the ability to throw deep/burn defenses with his arm. JJ failed to do that in a lot of games last year.
The potential is there for this offense to put up '07/'08 numbers. It all depends on how Lee plays. I for one think he'll be able to get it done.
Posted on 9/2/11 at 9:45 am to Antonio Moss
Puke all you want. I would gladly take '08 numbers (minus the picks, should have thrown that in there) over what we had last year.
