I wonder how Nabers, Thomas and the rest of that O feel about asking for that trophy back

I imagine Daniel‘s didn’t just piss off the fan base here guys. To ask back for our Heisman Trophy was a major slap in the face to his teammates as well.
Quotes from his Heisman speech:
“you got to thank your o-line first.”
“Having future NFL players on my team makes my job look easy.”
“I want to thank all my teammates from Arizona State to LSU. You’re my brothers.”
“Without them I wouldn’t be up here, honestly.”
Jayden “full of shite” Daniels ladies and gentlemen. I’m sure you would find those two first round draft pick wide receivers on any college football team, huh?

“Normal, stable people” don’t try to claw back a school’s copy of a Heisman Trophy because the program gave a non-retired number to a current player. That’s the opposite of normal and stable.
Nabers, Thomas, and the rest of that offense weren’t just window dressing in Daniels’ Heisman speech. He stood up there and said the O-line came first, that future NFL guys made his job look easy, and that without his teammates he wouldn’t be on that stage. Those words weren’t throwaway. They were true. The trophy on display at LSU is a shared artifact of what that entire group did in 2023, not a personal souvenir Daniels gets to reclaim the second he feels disrespected over jersey politics.
Acting like the guys who blocked for him, caught the balls, and created the scheme that put him in position to win it “don’t care” is pure cope. Plenty of normal, stable competitors would look at a former teammate trying to scrub the program’s physical reminder of their joint accomplishment and think, “That’s some small-time shite.” The trophy isn’t his alone to demand back. Treating it like it is exposes exactly how fragile the ego is, not how evolved everyone else is.
