I was actually happier to see the Nuss quick release more so than the pushing downfield

He slings it downfield with 50/50 balls but there were a few times his anticipation and quick release in crossing routes was deadly. That’s more of what you can expect over throwing it fifth yards downfield every other play.

He throws downfield balls on a rope as well. That could lead to interceptions but it gives less time for defensive backs to turn their head

Agreed. Watching him zip a quick out route was very satisfying. He did have a few off target though.

Yea and you can tell his improvement a bit because he wants to sling it but he “pump fakes”. Not really a pump fake just like a oh no I can’t sling it like that. It’ll improve.

Slinging it like that can do wonders for your running game.

He anticipated routes and threw the ball before WR's broke their routes or even turned their heads.

The deep pass to Nabers where he fell after catching it was a thing of beauty. Nabers was being double-covered but GN threw it towards the middle, between the hashes, and allowed Nabers to turn, locate the ball, and turn inwards and adjust to the ball. The defenders both had their heads turned and had no idea where the ball was.

With more game-time experience, Nuss has a pretty high ceiling. The pass after breaking the defenders grasp, rolling out, looking downfield, then flat out throwing a TD strike just amazing.

There were a few plays where his pre diagnosis led to quick decisions and throws that gave the defense no chance to get to him.

Yes. He was literally flicking his wrist and the ball would be on an absolute rope. Was honestly just very satisfying to watch. Like Rory McIlroy hitting a high draw 250 yards

He has a compact throwing motion. Kind of reminds me of Aaron Rodgers the way he flicks it from his ear

he has elite arm talent. put the brain and your footwork together, there’s no telling what he could be capable of

You’re off by about 100 yards with Rory but I’m with you. I’d compare it more to a Tiger stinger if I were using satisfying golf comparisons
