execution of LSUs offense
I've been in favor of it for the majority of the past decade

Coaches or players ?

Also have to factor the opposing team.
A good coach evaluates each weekly opponent and calls the offense to expose the weakest areas. If the nose tackle is the best defensive player then running between the guards every other play is not the smart thing to do.

A good QB and not handcuffing the offense does wonders. In my opinion the LSU offense ran well between the 20 yard lines and struggled inside the 20. This falls on the coaching staff. Under O's watch at LSU two games were lost on the last drive inside the 2 yard line against Florida and N. Dame. The offense struggled again against Troy and missed field goals along with mistakes cost us this game also. Coach O has lost 6 games coaching LSU and 3 of the loses are on the coaches for sure.

Poor QB play at LSU and total lack of confidence by the coaches to sling the football around have made the offense inconsistent and predictable. This fall we will have a new show to watch and if we see another year where drives stall inside the 20 yard line and the OC calls running plays up the middle and does not open up the play calling then this team will not achieve its full potential.

Bill Parcells said players win games and coaches lose them.

Good confident coaches, like Parcells, know the buck stops with them and that they take the heat for losses. Bad, insecure coaches trot out excuses and start throwing around blame.

Player - unfortunately, some great athletes are fantastic practice players & cannot get it done when the lights come on - some of the “best” have been flops - so much of the overall game is mental - think many do not appreciate just how much
