I agree but first we got to win a game that merits rushing the field!

When you become a winning program, part of that responsibility is not acting like a bunch of idiots. Rushing the field looks so terrible if you're an established program.

Would knocking off an undefeated #1 ranked ALabama at home with one loss already and being ranked in the ball park of 10-15 warrant a field rushing? I say yes!

I'm sure you know that LSU became a winning program a long time ago. 2003 was not the first time we won a national title.

You say this because you've never done it. I don't care what the world thought about my presence on the field. I wanted to celebrate an emotional victory. If you think we were

acting like a bunch of idiots.
then you're entitled to that opinion. I was so caught up in the moment, I never stopped to consider what someone else might think. I do not think, however, that rushing the field detracted in any way from the prestige of LSU.

You should try running out there just once. You might change your opinion.

LSU was I believe #17 when we beat Florida in 97... Although it was a completely different situation than if we were to beat Alabama now. I would not rush the field like I did back then.

We're established. God I don't know how many times this has to be said, it looks freaking terrible. Act like you've been there before, especially when you've won two goddammed national championships in the last 10 years. We're not Iowa State finally pumped because they best Michigan or some shite, we are LSU. We own two crystal balls, tied for the most in the country.

Wow, that could be the worst justification I have ever seen. You can say that about ANYTHING. "You should try getting a male bikini wax before calling that dude gay". Some things don't have to be tried, because its just not worth it in this day and age. There's a reason established nations don't do things that third world countries do every day, act like you've been there before.

So since we are established we now have to be official. College Football cant be fun, it becomes proper and we must hold out our pinkies while we drink our beers. Its a job and we are held to standards. frick THAT! Lighten up and have fun. The passion will put a spark back in our program. If you were a player and the fans rushed the field because you just beat some big name team, imagine how pumped that would make them to want to beat another big name team!

I agree we don't need to be rushing the field, but how about cheering and not complaining when people in front of you are standing on third down like a little bitches.

Hey, nice slippery slope fallacy. No, you can be as crazy as you want in the stadium, rushing the field just makes the fan base look like we're not used to winning.

Those people are insane, stand up and cheer. My LSU experience has been limited to the student section for the last three years though

Look, I am not advocating running out there after just any win. I'm not saying that we should rush the field just because it's a big win either. I've been to big games many times and never went onto the field except that one time. But when it's an especially emotional victory for whatever reason, then I see no harm in getting out there and having a little fun. Last time I checked, LSU still allowed its fans to have fun and to get emotional about victories. When I stop doing that, I may as well quit going to the games at all.

Make sure you ask you parents if it is okay first...you don't want to get run over by the adults making their way to the parking lot for a drink.

have you seen this board, most people act like we havent won a game in a decade! Its time to get alittle swagger back to our fan base. Its funny how when it comes to getting crazy and rushing the field, we have won plenty enough to be an established program; but when it comes to Miles we havent won nearly enough

I remember the exact moment when I knew we were going to win the 2003 National Championship. I remember thinking "I can't believe we're actually going to win this game". I didn't think I would live to see the day. Maybe a little over-the-top, but it brought tears to my eyes.

pretty sure the majority of us older Tiger fans did this too. i know most of the people in my section were overwhelmed.

First of all, the rant does not equal the fan base. Jesus Christ, actually talk to some people outside of the internet. Yes, we've hit a couple bad years, but we're still be named as a dark horse for the NC. What does rushing the field say to the players? Hey, we literally thought you had a zero chance of winning this game. We've got the players to play with anyone in the country. Its not like we're grabbing two star recruits and feeling great about it.
