Nowhere in that quote does he infer that we're just not that good or that he would be content with being not that good.

The actual results as in his overall record at LSU? Or just the actual results that benefit your argument like specific stats? Gotcha.

Also, whats acceptable to you? Winning national titles every year or bust? You sir are the one who has "lost sight." LSU Football is supposed to be fun and entertaining. People like you ruin it.

We are in the hunt for a national title every year lately and you really can't ask for more than that.

Yeah pumpers go from "only wins matter" regardless of how we perform during the season to "we coulda/shoulda/almost" regardless of actual results at the end of the season.

Actually no.

The statement, in whatever context it was made, reaffirms the fact that Miles is happy to have an inept offense because it is HIS offense that has kept LSU from becoming the DYNASTY that Alabama HAS become.

Why is it so hard for some people to understand that it is the OFFENSE that is so OFFENSIVE!!!!

It's the Complacency Syndrome. He's got it and it's contagious. Wear a surgical mask and gloves before you touch it. And forget the '90s - it was the '80s that laid the groundwork.

Same could be said for the "Catastrophe Syndrome" that Saban always mentioned with respect to LSU fans when he was here.

you defenders make me sick. every year i read where yall bash georgia, texas, usc, oregon and oklahoma for not showing up in the big games.

now that lsu falls on that list, yall bash other fans who are honest about it.

the posts i've made about the last 2 bowl games pertained to what i heard about the reason Lee never played and how shitty our offense has been.

in fact...i havent seen anyone say anything positive about the last 2 bowl games so im not sure what you're talking about

The quote was said in reference to the fact that we were 1 minutes away from potentially being in the Natl Title game this year and if people can't be somewhat happy about that then "their expectations may be a little overshot".

That's a loser mentality. His team didnt at all deserve to be in the title game, so why say that?

no guarantee we beat UGA this year in the SECCG anyway even if we would have made it.

Now would it have been better to at least have a shot? of course. without it ...well......do the math

Coach, "expecting" the LSU Offense to finish in the top 75 in the country with all of the offensive talent on the field and a 4 million dollar a year payday is hardly "overshot" in my humble opinion!!!
Misleading OP and should be deleted or anchored at least.
