Aranda is certainly the best at what he does but the lack of respect isn’t because of him, it’s the HC.

O will have a chance to prove everyone wrong but I remain skeptical until he can win consistently.

I do think LSU beats Miami 23-18

Everyone. All national media know and respect Aranda as one of the best if not the best DC in the nation.

No one has forgotten him.

No. They are just hopping on the bandwagon like they always do.

It takes a couple of weeks of football before reality sets in.

The reason for the lack of respect is the widespread opinion that our offense will be terrible. Yeah, we probably will have a good defense. They will be on the field about 40% of the time.

Remember also, we had Dave Aranda last year when Troy beat us, when Notre Dame beat us, when Bama crushed is, and when State blew us out.

The media simply runs with the narrative we give them. Last year we looked like a program in decline. The Tigers have a chance to change that narrative tonight. Beat Miami and it will all change.

We have excellent coaches, the HC just blurs that to anyone in the media.

We won 6 sec games last year for the first time in 5 or 6 years. We did this with a flawed thin roster. And an average at best QB. Other than RB the roster has been upgraded at every position group. We lack experience at key positions not talent at this point. Of course much depends on QB. But we went undefeated with Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson. Anyway very tough schedule. Big opener. Tired of the negatives. We shall see what happens

Aranda is not a head coach yet. He cannot recruit anything like Orgeron.

Of we were such a terrible program in decline then Aranda would have jumped ship. He believes in this program and O. We are ALL on the outside looking in, so we actually don't have the best resources to judge what's actually going on. W/L do matter but there is a lot more that goes into building up these young men...

Agree but.... Aranda doesn't set the conditioning drills, practice times, in practice schedule, etc. Just remember how we looked at the beginning of last season.

I don't understand why so many posters are obsessed with what the pundits think.

Just win and everything will work out.

Ignore all the talking heads.
