Why didn't he throw the kitchen sink in that game? You say he's too smart of a coach not too, but he didn't do it in the MNC game. No confidence he'll do it now.

Because we had won 13 games including Bama. He was wrong, but he had little recourse at that point. I still fault him for not giving Lee a shot.

Miles went with the gameplan that beat bama on the road a couple months before...tough to blame him for that. Blame him for not making in-game adjustments, but the fact is be beat Saban in his own house with that very game plan. Also credit Saban for having on hell of an offense dialed up
.
So lets go into the NC game with the same gameplan as the previous against the best coach in the country and not make any in game adjustments. That worked out well.

Unfortunately it will be overthrown by 5 yards.

Message Posted by siliconvalleytiger He thought what we had would work on 1/9. It didn't. Let's move on.

But he'll be prepared this time? With a much worse offense?

Has Miles never been prepared for big games? 1/9 was big but it was one game. There is life after 1/9 you know.

Before everybody gets all pissed off by the end of the first half, keep in mind, that if the game score is close, you will not see LSU making many adjustments until the second half. Why give Bama half time to make adjustments,,..make them adjust on the fly!..of course they will do the same thing...

The time frame before the NC game, Bama's conditioning and strenght coach put the team through a mini camp, and it made the difference..of course Bamas schedule was not even close the teams we played, this year isn't much difference either. We wil be the toughest team they play this year..anixous to see how they handle T A&M..

Well we're huge underdogs in this game

That wasn't the case before

No one thought that we would NEED to run gadget plays or change things up much to beat Bama.

This year I think the coaches know that they might have to take more chances to beat Bama. Surprise onside kicks, fake punts, trick plays, whatever. You only need to execute one of those plays to capture momentum and change the game in your favor.

"long" is not the opposite of "short" in that context, dumbass.

He's going to bring everything we have. He knows what this game means and is far too smart a coach to rely on what clearly has not worked offensively. Expect trick plays, new looks and everything in between.

This game will be won by LSU and I will remember it as the kitchen sink game.

I was about to say "Why the hell wouldn't he? it's a must win" but so was the NC game. I'm assuming he learned something from that game though.

We might see some trick plays

But if the game is pretty even, I'm not sure we would even want to see them

Sometimes trick plays and trying to get cute or changing too much can blow up on you and kill drives.

I doubt it. Run right, run left, 3rd and 8... pass incomplete and many LSU fans blame the QB. Hope I'm wrong.

I expect he'll have 1 or 2 trick plays in mind and built into the game plan should a certain situation arise.

Other than that I think we're not gonna see much new. Maybe plays we've run before but in a different situation or formation, but I don't expect much different beyond that.
