I think Kelly is changing the culture.

Don’t get me wrong, at the end of the day it’s about wins and championships even though developing young men is an excellent byproduct of that when done the right way.
I think Kelly has come in and set a tone and a standard that, not only many of these kids who were under a very different culture recently, are used to but are likely to be resistant to. I’m not saying that’s everyone and I do think he is doing it the right way. I think there are likely some kids in this program who have not bought in and I think NIL and the quick transfer has put gasoline on that fire. We forget very quickly Orgeron left this program in shambles and barely had enough scholarship players to play in a bowl game. I feel we’ve done a complete 180 and finally have an adult with mission and a plan in charge.
I think that’s why you are seeing some of the disappearances/absences from some players that are “on scholarship” but not available.
The defense obviously needs to be fixed in a big way but what Kelly did in year one was nothing short of amazing. I’m looking for the next two years to really solidify his type of program and bring the guys in who can handle and be a part of that structure.
Hope it works out for the Tigers and I’ll continue to cheer them on each year.

I agree with a lot of what you said but my only concern is that he’s trying to get a bunch of Gen Z football recruits from Louisiana, Texas, and Alabama to fall in line and act like normal people and I’m not sure if that ideal is ever going to happen.
I get that’s his selling point to a lot of parents but Kirby and Saban are both running trainwreck personal development programs filled with POS kids who turn into POS adults and all is fine on the field for them.

I can tell it’s Sunday evening and more than 12 hours removed from the game when you start seeing some of the more "positive" and the in denial threads.

It’s still your job to bring in players that fit your system and culture. I’m sure Army has a great group of high character individuals, but they’re not winning shite. They’ve gotta wins demin quickly. 3rd year is plenty of time with portal/ signing limits.

I no longer care about last year. That is over. Where is the program headed?

He is soft and has a guaranteed contract. That is a fact. The rest to be determined.

Denial is alive and well here.

Well I guess we all got you wrong. Because after the Army game in the locker room Kelly said he didn’t coach for the wins, he did it to develop players. Those were his own words.

I’m going to be honest, I don’t give two fricks how many football players graduate with some sports management or interdisciplinary studies degree.

And yet, I know the guy is a coward after that hit. Used to be on his side 100%, but he has no backbone and is a robot as far as I'm concerned.

We don’t because every other post mentions this talking point

Who are the other scholarships but not available? I know of Chestnut- not around for O and neither was Denver.
Watch his presser before Alabama. He says that having 10 years makes it easier to make those kinds of decisions that prioritize his vision over talent.
I do think he is a decent coach but i do think he is stubborn and reluctant to make adjustments, he eventually makes them but always comes back and says he wishes he had done x y or z sooner.

Name a Defensive player that Kelly's staff has developed or improved.
Its a change of culture alright.
How many records have se set for bad defensive play?

Can you explain how Orgeron improved his record each year. Even thogh he came to LSU one year
after Smart went to Georgia, LSU won every time they met through 2019.
In 2019 Woody was hired. After we won the Championship, it became Woody's program.
What is our winning percentage of football and basketball after Woody took the helm?
