dont give him all the credit for the damn victory. everybody contributed equally. I hate when you morons use the outcome of a game to gauge leadership
and people blame him totally for the fumble at Uf(When the Center himself said it was his fault) or Auburn when no RB did anything.
If you want to look at it that way on wins it has to be the same on losses.

Russell = sugar bowl victory

While I agree he was the most talented qb ever to play at LSU, he was not the best leader and did not have the best intangibles.
anyone who argues that is just foolish
Because two losses doesn't equal two losses?

Thats fine I am at work also but I had replied to your message before you edited it, sorry if I thought you were implying something to me.

JR threw for more yards.
JR threw for more TDs.
JR threw for less INTs
JR completed a higer % of passes
JR had more attempts per INT
JR was sacked less
JR was the most efficient QB in the country
JR beat out MF every year

So can someone tell me why this thread was made? I'm pretty sure this dude who made this thread read the jamarcus action figure thread, and thought by making this thread he knew people were going to argue about how "great" he was. what a cock sucker, but anyways he was a great QB,
ohh and i don't feel bad about with him for being on the raiders with that contract of his

There is a thread that turns into this every week.

quote:I understand this, but why not have one thread about a Tiger great and not bring this Racist BS up. By the way Jamarcus>Flynn But I like them both because they were Tigers. Why is that so hard to realize?
Because some people can only see in terms of race, and thus anytime someone disagrees with them regarding two players of different race, they believe they have discovered racism. And, since they are also shite-stirring bitches, they have to constantly bring it up to show how much better they are than everyone else because they are "cool" enough to hate the white players.

2006 LSU team > 2007 LSU team. Sorry, thats just the way it is. 2007 was graced by the BCS computers.

He was better leader and decision maker than Flynn, Mauck, or Davey. If you want to go back further, then we can.

Its not really an argument. Every objective measure shows that he was a better decision maker than the three above.
I would say 8 come from behind victories and playing the back half of your sophomore year with a fractured throwing wrist is being a pretty good leader. There is absolutely nothing objective that you can point to that shows any of the other three were a better leader than Russell.

I'm 100% with Gugich. I miss Jamarcus too.

what about the iowa game?
you know the one where when matt flynn was in the game, he got the offense to go backwards?

It was actually a chain with the symbol from a rap group from Mobile that he was supposedly friends with - Bama Boy Records.

Has nothing to do with Flynn having intangibles.
