Doesn’t matter what they believe.
It’s about a known meeting by all with his superiors and whatever is said in that meeting would not be under privilege. Then it’s a strong possibility that the defense attorneys would then subpoena alleva and Alexander knowing that wade talked to them about the situation.
Unless the FBI has a 24/7 watch on wade (again he isn’t the one they are even after people!!!) they wouldn’t know if he talked to smart in the locker room

They knew his attorney would not let him take the meeting. They used that as an excuse to feed the fanbase and knew that some would lap it up

Will Wade is a witness in an FBI probe and is not under any investigations. Why is this so hard to understand? Suspending Wade is coping to guilt when there is not even an investigation? The correct move was for LSU to say they don’t have all the facts and will pursue their own investigation into the matter once the trial ends. In the event the NCAA investigated and gives recommendations then LSU will follow those guidelines.
But there is no leadership in this Administration or direction on how to play this except throw their hands in the air and pray the NCAA goes lenient. Hell we might as well forfeit the rest of the season if they gonna do this? But I can promise you the NCAA won’t give us any morality points for sitting Wade or Smart anyway. So, you might as well roll with the one who got us here because there might not even be anything that merits a penalty.
