I really do like our defense but what is the great excitement?

We literally will field the same D we had last year. I get Chaisson coming back but besides that, maybe more playing time for Stevens since Battle finally graduated.

I can’t debate this if you’re referring to the start of last season but if we play with healthy guys next season the defense will be noticeably better.

Chaisson, a possible future great in Stingley, multiple possible All-SEC or even All-American d-linemen returning, a great linebacker group with the possibility of Devin White coming back who would probably go down as one of the greatest college football linebackers of all time, etc.

No I’m not saying that all. I, like every fan want a Natty, just kinda wondering why the over excitement about guys we already know really well. I did forget about Stingley.

You and rickdaddy don’t seem to understand that players tend to get much better from year to year in college. There’s no guarantee, but it’s likely.
Mike Brockers hardly played his first two years of college. His third year he was perhaps the best defensive lineman in all of college ball. Frank Herron developed late - after he left LSU.

This is ridiculous. It’s great because Fulton, Divinity, Lawrence, and Fehoko are better right now than Joseph, Farrell, Livingston, and Thornton. Those guys are good players but having them off the bench another year and playing seniors is how you win in the SEC.
