Won't happen without an above average offense. Times have changed. Although I was referring to Ensminger's personal failures

With Les, I believe it was very poor talent evaluation. That was the main knock on him.

Maybe your main knock on him, but not the general populations main knock on him.

I thinkhis problem was fold
1. Poor QB evaluation
2. An offense that was not QB friendly
3. A refusal to let QBs work things out on the field.

You know I have my complaints about E but none thing I’ll say about him is that he didn’t stop throwing the ball even when it was bad.

I think the earlier one was from midOct and probably spot on with the early season drops putting LSU 7th SEC, IIRC. Buckeye Jeaux just seems to feel there's some anti-JB conspiracy and only LSU's drops would be misrepresented out of 14 teams.

Miles Recruited some of the best players in the history of the program. He knew talent. He just couldn’t develop a quarterback

That wouldn't explain 2013 and Mettenbergers stats

He’s definitely the exception

I think Les wanted to throw the ball.
But he still basically wanted to run PA and throw it deep. Met

But if we weren’t doing it well he was too comfortable just controlling clock and field position and running the ball to win.

The last time we threw the ball 30 times a game was 2008.

He's the only good QB Les brought to BR, that's why.

Edit: Etling was decent but only started two games under Les.

Talent and experience do matter, a lot.

Pure bullshite, Mayhaw. We went thru the CFB nonsense in the Big-10. I don't accept the first graphic on drops. And I don't accept the second graphic on yards after catch (whether it favors Burrow, or not). Just look at their website. No attempt whatsoever at keeping it up-to-date.

So if I whip up a spreadsheet (or have some random poster do it), then dump it into a cookie-cutter graphics template, you'll believe it? Hmmm. Something tells me you will.

Ole Miss has NFL talent on offense. Defense is their problem.

We shouldn't need NFL talent on offense for it to be simply competent.

Simple question, do you think we maximized the talent we do have?

I don’t care who the HC or OC is, and I don’t have the schematic answers, but I do expect LSU’s offense to finish in the Top50 offenses in the nation. I don’t think that’s too much to ask for and certainly something that will be a necessity if we ever hope to compete for titles again.

Hey man, what's your problem? You can't simply desire for our offense to improve without picking a side. Scheme or Players?

Either would improve the offense but both would really improve it.

Comparing PPG all but Miles 2 worst offenses were more explosive than 2018.

I look for 2019 to be better, so Do or Die for Slinger and can't see why he shouldn't be able to dethrone at least one of Miles Top 4 LSU scoring offenses.

I agree but what’s worse about that statement is that LSU does get legit wide receivers.

I know We’ve had this arguement before and whatnot.

Talent is probably the most important thing.
Alabama won NCs with very vanilla offenses just on pure talent.

Experience is also great.

But if I hd To choose between a completely new offense I thought Was superior or continuity in with an offense that’s just ok? I’d pick scheme over comfort.
