It's not that bad, but it's not great either. Burrow doesn't have time to go through progressions as he should.

RB's are too slow which makes the line look a bit worse IMO

I disagree. There's always a chance however small there's a chance. I think with the returning players and the addition of a good recruiting class. The biggest being a return to having an elite running back, will help tremendously. Also Ed will have to go into juco to get help on both lines.

Do you think WASU’s o line is better than ours? What about West Virginia? Nope and nope.

was coming to make this point

our OL may have talent issues but it's way more talented than those teams (and a slew of other teams well ahead of us in the rankings)

you can scheme around OL issues. we don't. we've doubled down on long-developing plays for some reason

People are also forgetting that Burrow actually went 15 of 21 for 200 yds. While he didn't light it up that's respectable in anyone's book. With the defense playing lights out they tried to run out the clock. Unfortunately injuries in the secondary let Arkansas go on a little run. I don't think that anyone thought that LSU was ever in danger of losing the game.

How do you think those teams would fare playing an SEC schedule? I don't think either would have a winning season.

The madden jockeys will now heap black bile upon you for daring to go against their all knowing, all seeing eye of football knowledge.

based on what?

Wazzu is really, really good this year. Leach is a beast (and 10x the coach than O)

WV may be a paper tiger but they're 8-1. what makes you think they would have a losing season in the SEC?

the SEC is pretty garbage this year. that's a big reason why our record is inflated. UGA (who we did upset) and Bama are great. we're good. everyone else is mediocre-bad

WV would be 2nd in the SEC East behind UGA and possibly 2nd in the SEC West

do you consider Nick Saban a "madden jockey"?

have you seen his offense the past few years?

We’re 10th out of 14 in the SEC. Can you make an argument for all 9 teams ahead of us? Or does it just have to be SEC West?

Bingo ... if your receivers can’t beat press coverage off the line of scrimmage there’s not a short passing game in the world the will work.

So, then that begs the question, why cant these 4 & 5 star receivers get separation from the worst defense in the SEC?

Such BS. Only at LSU do things take multiple years to “install.” OK, maybe Ala. isn’t the best example to use, b/c their talent and depth (and PED use ??) greatly increase their margin for error ... but they’’ve changed QBs, and coordinators, on a dime. Isn’t this a new Ala. o-coordinator? The schemes he’s running are light yrs ahead of Slinger.

I find this hard to believe. You could be right though. I'm sure that they'd dominate the SEC. Give bama a run for their money.

most of our fans don't get it. They truly believe we can just go 4-5 wides and throw quick passes...to them that is the scheme that will work and can be run at any time. These same fans bitched when we ran it down their throats for a TD

huh?

people on this board (including in this thread) have been implying that big offense and using spread concepts and passing aren't how you win the SEC. however, Alabama has been a spread team for 3 years now and is passing all over the place. people are calling it the best Bama team ever

so which is it? do we accept that "Madden" offense like Alabama's can win the SEC or is that just a myth and we ignore what Bama is doing?

the East isn't good. WV just has to be better than UK to be 2nd in the East

the West is slightly better, but WV just has to beat LSU (Bama is clearly 1)

Auburn sucks. MSU and TAMU are mediocre. Arkansas and Ole Miss are terrible. you don't have to be that good to be 3rd in the west (And i said they'd possibly be 2nd)

we barely beat Arkansas and struggled against 1AA competition. we ain't rolling a legit good 1A team

we already pulled our one rabbit out of a hat against UGA
