Yep I know but LAF-LSU here is the best part, I could give a shite what other people think. Life is what it is, I have never seen anyone change the past, but I have seen them correct the mistakes of the past by sitting down discussing and analyzing those mistakes and implement steps that are put into place so those mistakes are unlikely to happen again. In taking those steps discussion and dialogue play a vital role in the process.

But that would be too simplistic for some people to understand.

Agreed on the "lingering effect." Seems to me these kids read their press clippings and watch the sports channels just like we do. All week long all you heard was LSU is the best one loss team in the country and Mett is a top 10 pick in NFL draft and Ole Miss has no starters healthy on defense to stop LSU. Well....

LSU stopped themselves and Mett looked like a rookie again in the 1st half. LSU's offense came to life in the 2nd half but the defense once again could not stop the other team on their last drive of the game. That's been a disturbing trend in all our recent losses.

This game was really weird b/c when LSU did come back (and we knew they would) they appeared to have all the momentum only to have Ole Miss make as good a drive as they have had in the past 10 years of football. Good for them. Moving on....

Yep, and, let's not pretend that this is the last time LSU will lose a game like the one lost last Saturday. It will happen again.

Comprehension is not one of your strong points is it!!!

Clearly stated in one of my postings on this thread that venting is a way for me to get over how I feel about the loss. With the UGA game I was over it quickly because UGA was truly the better team on the field that day both offense & defense "what little of that there was." But the loss to Ole Piss I don't think the better team won that day, the team that played better won but not the better team. So it is taking a little longer to get over it.

Now whether they are insane posts or not, obviously from the responses looks like I am not the only one in the coo coo house which suits me fine either way.

I guess you are one of those idiots that thinks nothing is ever wrong with the coaches and LSU football. Must be nice living in a fantasy world

Hey buddy, don't waste your time with the clowns on this board. Most of them don't even know what it is to be a REAL Tiger fan. I have been around sports fans my whole life from every team out there, and I have NEVER heard any of them say something like "it's just a game, get over it", or any kind of CRAP in the same universe as that. That sounds like something only a woman would say who has no idea what sports are even about. Any TRUE Tiger fan feels just like you do anytime we lose. Don't apologize to these CLOWNS for your feelings. Know that all REAL Tiger fans feel just like you do. This board has turned into complete garbage because of pukes like the ones responding to you, and I imagine that is most of the reason the traffic on this board is about 10% of what it once was.

I don't think depressed is the right word here more pissed off. That was the least prepared and worst scheme we have drawn up in a long time. Losing to those dumb asses in that high school stadium is embarrassing and shameful. I don't want to hear its time to get over it cause its wednesday cause this is a choke for the ages. Ready to move on to this weeks game but we should not just let it go cause in reality it put us from potentially national championship to chick-fil-a bowl.

LOL

Being depressed about a football game does not make you a "real fan." I watch as much, if not more sports than anyone else here. Maybe there was a time before my career took off, that LSU losing a football game would linger more. But I simply cannot afford anymore to have a football game affect me.

Just because people are able to put sports in the proper perspective doesn't mean they are any less of a fan than the ones that punch women in the face over a game, or the ones that poison trees. I'm sure those people would tell you that you're not a real fan because you don't do the things they do for their teams. It's entertainment, that's all it's supposed to be.

There's a line that I draw personally, and that line is letting the game affect me more than a day. I get PO'ed for the night, I sleep, I wake up and I'm all better. On to the next game.

You must be a lot of fun to be around. There are plenty of things in life to be depressed about and I promise you a loss to Ole Miss isn't one of them. This will not be the last time LSU loses a game we should have won.

I would feel better about things if there was team-wide enthusiasm during the game as Ole Miss displayed. If they did the problems would take care of themselves!

1973. Little kid growing up in New Orleans. Big LSU fan. Tulane 14, LSU 0. Life at school was a living hell. The world didn't end.

1981. Student at LSU. Tulane 48, LSU 7. The world didn't end.

1982. Flying high and ready for revenge, fresh off destruction of Florida State, and Orange Bowl bound. Tulane 31, LSU 28. The world almost ended, but eventually didn't.

It will be OK.

Goldrush25 that is understandable if I were a husky fan also, I can promise you I would feel the exact same way about A GAME. Because if I felt the way I do now, as a husky fan, I would be depressed from Sept-Jan EVERY YEAR. I mean lets face it the best you guys can hope for every year is a 6-6 season and if you get to 8-4 that is like LSU winning the NC that year.

But, as I am sure as you have read on this board, at LSU we actually have realistic hopes of playing for a BCS-NC year after year at UW you don't. So as the Ole Piss loss, for all intensive purposes, took us out of the hunt for the NC, taking an extra few days to get over the loss knowing that the rest of the games we are playing for is bowl positioning and spoiler alert "you should know about being a spoiler alert that is all the husky's ever are" which is disappointing.

You are correct I am. Ok it was a form of expression, are you familiar with "form of expression" technically not clinically depressed in reality just still disappointed. Glad I could clear that up for you, obviously I realize now that some posters take things a little to literal.

I probably know you, same time frame for me at LSU from N.O. also, I was at those games in 81 & 82 and the Orange Bowl and you are right the world didn't end but it still did suck a lot and that feeling lasted longer than a day.
