I don't mind the new logo you posted, it's the one below that I don't like. This is the one that the Toonces nickname came from.

I vectorized my original image which cleaned it up a lot. Thought i would post the results in case anyone was interested. Photobucket doesnt allow me to save very quality formats so its not as sharp as it is on my computer.

This is excellent! I believe the reasons Toonces was commissioned are:
1) LSU did not own the exclusive rights to the existing circle tiger (helmet) logo.
2) LSU did not control the rights to the "block script" logo because the fonts were not owned by LSU.
3) LSU did not control the rights to the "sailor Mike" logo (Auburn and Pacific also used it for many years).
4) the existing logos were too "busy" and did not show up well on TV and other media.

I like this one. Its worlds better than the floating Toonces head and it bears resemblance to a real tiger. Unlike Toonces which would be featured in an anime cartoon.

Without short arms, it's not Toonces. You can hate it all the same, but it's not Toonces.

I get what you're saying, but it's still Toonces to me. It's a decapitated Toonces.
Just because Ted Williams is a head in a frozen container, he doesn't stop being Ted Williams.

Would require me trying to market this. LSU could have for free if it was up to me haha

Something about the eyes seems slightly "off," but I like it a hell of a lot more than what we've got right now.
