How many in the 2000 class committed before Saban was hired?
Dunno - not sure how one could go back and determine this.

You went to all the trouble to create an alter for this:

Miles offense = Cholly Mac and I am old and the D would have problem with the wishbone the way they look so far this season

the numbers CLEARLY show that Miles performed better both with Saban's recruits and his own recruits, than Saban did period....FACT.
One thing the numbers do not show is that Les has a better record with Les's recruits than Saban did with Saban recruits while here.

Fair enough. It still rings true that Les did better with Saban's LSU players than Saban did with Saban's players at LSU.
That alone dismisses the "Saban's players" argument, and I'd love to see what kind of complete inbred retard persists with that argument after reading this very post.

I have only read page seven, and don't know how the conversation got here, but c'mon man.
Saban with his own players has 4 rings.
Now, before you brand me a Saban lover, let me assure you I am not. He has to have a loaded deck to win. Just so happens he has that. He's the GOAT recruiter. I'm not convinced he's a great db coach though.

According to the coaches poll, it's 10.33 avg finish.
Starting last year:
14,12,2,8,17,31,1,3,5.
Poor results considering LSU has most players in NFL.

Saban with Saban Players ('03-'04): 22-4 (0.846)
Les with Saban Players ('05-'07): 34-6 (0.850)
In terms of W-L that's the difference. Of course, this assumes that Les did as well as he could with Saban's players and the Saban himself would have done no better. Who knows?

and the final three years of Saban's tenure at LSU was worse the the last three years Miles has had here at LSU
A: 2 SEC titles and 1 national championship in 5 years, following a 15-18 3 year record by the previous coach for a program that hadn't won a conference title in over a decade and didn't win a conference game in the last coach's final year.
B: 2 SEC titles and 1 national championship in 10 years, following a 30-9 3 year record, including the first national title since 1958, from the previous coach
I'm just not sure how to see you as anything other than delusional if the differences need to be spelled out for you.
It's crazy to compare the two situations.

our program in in decline over the last few years, and still ahead of Saban's program the final three years here....go figure.
So you would take the 2012-2014 seasons over the 2002-2004 seasons?
If Miles was as good as y'all want him to be, you wouldn't have to resort to such absurd arguments.

It sucks being a negative CORFer. I used to be one,but I changed for the better. You're human; you can change, too. Stop being dumb. Wise up. GEAUX TIGERS.

Since 2008, Miles has a 50% win rate against Ole Miss and Florida. We lose the games coming up that drops to 43%. Against Bama is 29%, lose to them drops to 25%. Arkansas is 66%, lose to them that's 57%. So, considering he is the best coach that ever lived to some of you, what do you think about having a losing % to 3 of our yearly west foes if this season continues to go bye bye. Its called what have you done for me lately bitch.

So maybe Saban had to fix a few things at LSU and those fixes were passed on to Miles.
Miles is a relief pitcher with a lead from the starter, Saban. What if the roles were reversed ?

He means where LSU would rank over this time period.

What the hell do you THINK I think of it? It sucks of course, but it's not the end of the world. Miles has turned it around before after a setback, and I'm confident that the Tigers will be back on top very soon. GEAUX TIGERS.

So with all these numbers why does the majority of this board and media "experts" feel that Les Miles has underperformed but we don't have the same thing happening at Alabama? Because while these numbers are true and nice, apparently they don't matter to fans and the media. Division, Conference, National Championship trophies matter. BCS bowl trophies. These numbers do show the incredible consistency that LSU has had over the long haul, but they also show that lately we are good, but not good enough for big boy trophies.

Just because he has an amazing record doesn't mean he hasn't underperformed at times.
numbers lie..in that you can make the bad years look good w the numbers from the good years....
Miles gets paid EACH AND EVERY YEAR, I expect him to perform EACH AND EVERY YEAR.
you are only as good as your last year ... and he is not looking good.... whether 8-4, 7-5, or 6-6 .. miserable record for all the talent
his allowing of changes on the OL, has precipitated all sorts of negative consequences .. he should have known better
affects the QBs, the play calling and even the D because of their time on the field.
this was to be a GREAT OL yr, yet we chose to change schemes ..STUPID .. if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Miles should have known if/when Grimes was planning such change AND SHOULD HAVE STOPPED IT ..or NOT hired him.

After Saban has taken his team to SEC championship game, have any of his teams fallen out of the top 25 during his tenure with that team?
