LMAO...you are sticking with this ridiculous assumption that you made up......wow

Are you one of those self-deluded people who deny the clear and unavoidable fact that Louisiana is very fertile recruiting grounds with only one major in-state program?
Are you also one that pretends not to notice the difference that the two SEC championships and one national title in Saban's short era made in the way elite La talent viewed LSU?

The question is whether it matters that he is a buffoon in many ways. His haters, like me, believe it does matter, that it has negatively effected LSUs performance relative to what it could have been in a decade that LSU should have dominated and instead was second best
Just wow. First off, he has an Economics Degree from a very good academic school. The guy is not dumb, at all. Judging my your reasoning skills....well, I'll stop there.
Second of all, we have clearly shown that LSU's recruiting has finished around 8th in the nation on average......yet they are third in the nation out of all college programs for top 25 average finish during that time. I assume you expect that that 8th place in recruiting should have propelled LSU into a dominant, no one should be close, program, during that period. Wow....and you call Miles a Buffoon.

Dinardos players would still be srs, rssr, or rsjr in 03.
Gerry's last signing class was '99.
Except for the RS's, their eligibility would have ended after the '02 season. From what I can tell there were five 5Y seniors on the '03 team:
TE Eric Edwards, Monroe, La. (Ouachita Christian)
P Donnie Jones, Baton Rouge, La. (Catholic)
DE Chad Lavalais, Marksville, La. (Marksville)
OL Rodney Reed, West Monroe, La. (West Monroe)
ATH Bryce Wyatt, Lake Charles, La. (Barbe)
I didn't scrutinize things close enough to see if there were any medical RS still around from the '98 class.
FTR, I don't think we win the NC without Lavalais.

Granted, we were second best to an all time great coach
Yet this all time great does not have a better record at LSU, and in what will be 8 years at Alabama, with arguably the best talent year after year, he has managed 2 SEC Titles. I'm no rocket scientist, but I would have to guess there could be a LOT of coaches out there that could take the best talent in the country, and win out of 8 conference Titles. Hell, Les Miles did it, and we know what kind of coach he is right?
Posted on 10/8/14 at 8:24 pm to Tigerinthehollow
that was then, this is now...I support coach Miles he has done well as coach for LSU, I will continue to support him this year and next, doesn't mean I agree with him, with the current offensive philosophy, I mean the forward pass, you know, legalized...way back when...I mean try it, pitch back to the back, could he try to run around the end, where there are less defenders...hullo
how does a coach that makes 4 million a year get to the point where he fields the great LSU team only 2 scholarship QBs? how does he start a season with QBs that cannot throw a dink pass? how does that happen seriously? 3rd and 7 and cannot throw a flanker screen, a flare, a tight end button hook, flood a zone with 3 routes hit the open man?
so he might have risked an interception, might lose the game; you did lose the game 41 to 7 what the hell?
how do you not have a middle linebacker stay in his zone all night long? as it is they vacated their zone and did not even lay a glove on the running back/quarterback running right up the middle without being contested; how is that?
i do not care if they lose every game, if they leave it all out on the field, but being afraid to even try to achieve, is insulting
next thing you know LSU will be punting on 3rd down

Serious question, do you have a picture of Saban hanging on the wall at your house? Tell the truth....we won't laugh.

Are you one that doesn't notice that Archer, Hallman and Di Nardo couldn't win with all of that Louisiana talent?
Are you one that forgets that Louisiana talent used to bolt to other schools?
Are you one of those that doesn't see that Miles pulls a lot of people from out of state?
To state that "LSU recruits itself" is beyond foolish.
Top notch talent comes to LSU when a top notch coach pulls them here.

It doesn't fit his agenda. He doesn't want to include the 75 or so players that Saban recruited in 2002....

No. I'm just normalizing Saban and Les's records with "their players" from their 4th year and forward. This is the best approach for comparing how each has done with his own recruits.

OR, he may just be one of those that doesn't blow Saban, and realizes while Saban is a good coach, he only had one season at LSU where he finished with less than three losses....and the final three years of Saban's tenure at LSU was worse the the last three years Miles has had here at LSU.......meanwhile, our program in in decline over the last few years, and still ahead of Saban's program the final three years here....go figure.

Why would I? the numbers CLEARLY show that Miles performed better both with Saban's recruits and his own recruits, than Saban did period....FACT. (wait, I forgot we only count 2003...LMAO)
You do have a picture of Saban. Would you blow him if he asked you too (of course if no one could ever find out...hypothetically speaking)?
