They'd have been the second worst RPI team to come to the box for a weekend, even after their 38 RPI bump from this weekend.

The only teams on our schedule that had a worse RPI were Purdue Fort Wayne, Southern, Sam Houston (not normally this bad), and Grambling (game didn't happen).

I don't care about the RPI they had they were better than most of the non conference teams that we played.

They played better for the weekend sure, but over the course of a season, they really were a terrible team.

And if you bring them in next year they will be improved and be better than North Alabama, North Dakota st, and whoever else we played this year

Because they had a solid weekend in a regional?

How did making it to Omaha two years ago work out for Oral Roberts?

I would love to see them during the midweek sometime.
I would, too, but that's a long way to travel for one midweek game.

More feasible would be a three-game weekend series, IMO.

Okay, well RPI matters a whole lot more than the difference between playing Little Rock and Southern.

This was a bad baseball team that got hot for 4 games. They might as well have been Grambling from a performance standpoint.

We should be more concerned with scheduling RPI helpers than scheduling games against teams because they were good last year for two weekends. Having a high RPI is why Auburn, a 17 win conference team, was a national seed. I don't give a shite about playing the scrappy underdog in February. I want to play some random MWC team who is going to be RPI 33 and help us have an easier path to Omaha.

I wish we would offer him a job on our baseball staff..........capable, confident, articulate, and obviously knows how to analyze talent.......and how to coach it..

Sounds like they had several injuries that cost them early on.
They definitely wouldnt be an rpi boost. But they would likely be middle of the road. Last year their rpi finished 143 and like 170 the year before. Def not good, but better than this year.
Id take them as our worst weekend opponent. If we can schedule a bit better around them

Wouldn't be a bad opening weekend one. We usually schedule a cupcake for that to see what kind of team we have before pre conference tourneys like Shriners etc...

frick that bitch arse coach of theirs and all of his crying.

Pick up USM for an alternating home and home early season matchup for two years. They are a reliable strong RPI team and one close to home.

DBU would be another that we should regularly play pre-conference.
