Last year, they quit. No questions asked. Now they're out of the west race, and it's easy to think they have little to play for. These guys don't say, "hey, we're not going to a BCS bowl or NCG, or even the SECCG, but we can still make the Cap One bowl!!." They don't come to LSU to compete for those kinds of bowls. We have two tough games left. Ole Miss and Arkansas can still beat us. Those teams are probably more content with where they are, and they definitely will go all out to beat LSU. Will LSU do the same? I hope so. 8-4 would suck.

I don't think they will quit. I do think they will lose to either Arky or Ole Miss and finish 9-3. This happens to be what 75% of the experts predicted in August.

I would be much more disappointed if LSU loses to Ole MIss than I am for the bama loss. And if LSU loses to Ark for the third straight year... LSU can still finish the season 11-2!

i dont think they will quit. last year was a cluster frick after the bama game. i think the players will be up for the ole miss and ar-kansas games because both teams beat us last year. if not then its a BIG problem. but im confident that Les will get them fired up.

Typically over the many years a lose to Bama ends the season.

I would quit if I was playing for some of the fans on this board. I think the guys will be motivated by the way last year ended up and the way next year could go. If we finish 10-2 and blow out a quality opponent in a bowl game, we can come in pre-season top 5 (not that it matters) but it gives you something to shoot for.

THIS SITUATION IS WHAT CACH MILES SHOULD BE JUDGED ON AS A COACH NOT ONE FRIGGGIN GAME.

Personally, a trip to the Cap One Bowl would be sweet for me.

If we lose the next two games, Miles SEC record will be 13-11 for the last 3 years. Nothing spectacular, imv. And not worth his present salary.

If we win both, that record improves to 15-9. Better, but as long as Florida and Bama are on the schedule every year, it's hard to see us winning many SECCGs.

By your logic, He sure earned that $4mm Salary last year.

I'll grade him by him winning big games.

I think most would be satisfied with 11-2. How could you not considering the schedule and how young the team is? I predicted 9-3 becoming 10-3 after the bowl. I'm on track, but I think this team can easily beat Arkansas and Ole Miss and I would be disappointed if we lost.

if they took cues from this stupid board, then they'd have no chance but to quit. some people on here have declared the HC, coordinators, position coaches, and probably the team nutritionist, psychologist, equipement manager, and locker room custodian all inept and below your expectations for what YOU deserve....

No by my logic you judge him on win totals for the season. The team is now in a tough mental state.......I for one and interested to see what Miles can do. 8-4 and I would want his head!

Hell Yeah!

Problem is that will continue to get harder if our teams continue to make stupid mistakes incessantly.

I've never been on the fire Les Miles bandwaggon, but these final 3 regular season games are huge for him. If the Tigers finish 10-2 with a Capital One Bowl visit, I will be happy with the year. But if this team tanks down the stretch like they did last year, then nobody could argue that this coach isn't overpaid. The next 3 games are really important.

How do you figure we're a young team (with the exception of QB). I actually think a team with this much experienced depth is only a success if we win the West. So the season is already a failure in my book, especially given Miles's salary.
