That can't be true. Whether it is a FG or TD, 100% is ridiculous for a defense.

I understand that but 100% score rate.
That has to be a record.

Well that’s wrong, but not by much.

Opponents are 26/27 in the red zone. So .963. 8 rushing TD, 11 passing TD, and 7 FG NCAA.com

For those wondering, the one redzone stop of the season was a missed FG by Grambling in the 2nd quarter of that game

Matt House is terrible at his job.

I can relate.

He's paid $2 million to be terrible at his job.

I cannot relate.

I mean that is not good, but what is the average amount? I would rather force FGs than give up TDs.

In Division 1, I feel like kickers should make more 25 yarders or closer more than they miss.

19 RZ touchdowns.

In 8 games, and we shut out Army.

It’s not bad, it’s pathetic.

It wouldn’t be so bad with a low number of attempts. 27 attempts thru 8 games is a pretty darn average number (not in a good way) to have what amounts to a 100% success rate against our D. (I just wont include the missed 23 yarder by Grambling). Forcing 7 or so field goals isn’t terrible.

But it’s not just bad RZ defense unfortunately. FSU would still tie us if you took away their RZ scoring.

What the average though within the power 5's? Is it really much lower? It's not hard to give up points when the opponent gets to your 20.

ETA, ya average is not near that. LSU is 127th of 130 teams

That wouldn’t surprise me, has there ever been a disparity in top ranked offense versus lowest rank defense as our team is this year?

It’s abhorrent to watch our defense

The difference in us and vaunted Bama is 4 RZ stops. We have one and they have 5. Auburn is ahead of Bama and we scorched them and they did not return the favor.

This stat is not really that big a delineator.

To judge a man’s effectiveness under the circumstances he’s endured is not fair.

That’s before even talking about the injury bug.
