This is ridiculous. This team got timely hits when they needed them. They did not "walk themselves to victory". They took advantage of LSU's mistakes because they knew LSU has control problems in the pen. They forced all the pitchers to work counts, get this pitch counts up, burn them, and wait for their pitches. They smoked LSU tonight no excuses. They made LSU pay for the walks...what a good hitting team will do and they're a good hitting team right now in this regional. Their bats are hot.

We walked them 11 times. I think 7 or 8 of their runs were from walked batters. If we cut those down and have a little bit of timely hitting we’ll be fine.

been watching baseball my whole life, college and MLB, this is every team I have ever been a fan of. every title-winning team. this is baseball. shite team destroy legendary ones. the sport is designed for this to happen.

now you have a situation where you have two good fresh pitchers ready to play a fricking terrible team with no pitching left to go the super. pretty good place to be, I say.

Friday night against LR was an anomaly for this team this year.

And Saturday vs DBU? Tonight was the outlier for this regional.

And we still outhit them by 3 (11 to 8) and 1/4 of their hits came in the last inning. We gave them the fricking game with walks.

Evans struggles with walks too, especially lately. He's just been good enough to get out of it. Cowan doesn't really walk many hitters plus he was a starter. Do you go with Cowan first who can give you extended innings? He doesn't throw hard. Teams are sitting on his offspeed pitches now which is why his last few outings have been so so.

Can't really say much on LR's end. All it takes is 1 rag arm to shut you down like the guy with a flat 88 mph fastball did to LSU tonight giving up 1 run. LSU is riding with the pressure in this game and LR has handled adversity very well alongside playing good defense all regional. They're not folding like DBU did.

They’ve scored 10, we’ve scored 11 in the two games. The record is 1-1. If only Eyanson could throw 7.2 innings again tomorrow to keep the run totals close. LSU has averaged 5.5 runs against their terrible staff.

Answer the question, who has scored more runs this regional on a per game basis?

LSU needs to step on their throat early or it could get sketchy fast.

LSU stepped on their throat last night and it didn’t matter. Hopefully this team watches the hold the rope documentary at some point today and get their heads out of their asses!
