Yes you have. In fact I remember the post that reflected just that. I remember it because I know your feelings for Da Bear, and to compare Miles to your hero was admirable. You were correct about the distress created in some LSU fans about Bama getting in to THE game. It's an imperfect system that has the best two teams invited. May the best team win.

It is like having a jester, the king and court know that he is merely playing a role but it is nevertheless amusing to have someone jump through hoops.

I think Miles is more like Bo Schembechler

Scoop, good to see u back on the rant.

the Rant is a most gullible bunch. I wonder what the TiderInsiders would think of Scoop's post above. My bet is if he had an account there, they'd ban him, unless they conspire with him. The post above to his fellow Bama fans is somewhat akin to a report from a spy, yet at the same time, LSU fans do comprise an embarrassingly insecure percentage who freak out at anything a pundit might say or not say about LSU or another team, if the comment about the other team somehow, even indirectly, marginalizes LSU in some way (in their minds).
I haven't read many of Bama Scoops posts, so I will not judge. He has spent quite a lot of time here (24000+ posts) for a Bama fan. If he fancies himself a spy, he better be a good a panning because the good nuggets are so few and far between in the giant minutia of BS offered in this
forum. Good luck with that.
What I like about Miles is that he can seemingly out coach himself to a win. Which is another way of saying, we (fans and non-fans alike) don't completely understand his style. The coach is a poker player and only shows his card(s) when he absolutely, positively must.
I haven't looked forward to a game more than this one coming up between LSU and Alabama.

CPB wasn't anything like CLM. Bryant was a fire breathing hell raising arse kicking type personality. He worked hard and partied hard. Les is just kind of weird, perfect for you LSU folks but a strange dude.
I also actually thought about how we might accept the NC in some kind of split ceremony (if we won a close one). But only for a minute. For one I'm not sure Les would accept. And then I'm damn sure Saban wouldn't offer it. Did LSU do that to UT in the 2001 SECCG? No. Who was your coach then?
My assessment of the game which is the same as it was before the last one.
Bama Offense>> LSU Offense
Bama Defense>= LSU Defense
LSU K/FG >> Bama K/FG
Since Nov 5
LSU has improved RB play from more than just Ware
LSU QB play has reverted to 2010 levels
LSU HB7 doing punt returns like Arenas did
Bama TE play picked up big from Smelley
Bama AJ confidence a little better each game
Bama KO coverage gone bad
I had Bama winning by 10-14 pts before Nov 5. (yes, I know we lost).Nothing has changed that IMO. Game changers would be if JJ found his throwing arm, or if we gave up some cheap points like we did in the Auburn game.

Person #1 : Smiles a lot, encourages students/players, gets excited when players play well, talks a lot about family and fun.
Person #2 : Fire breathing, hell raising, kicks arse and shouts at people.
Yeah ok - the #1 is the weird one.
BTW what does it mean when you say perfect for LSU folk -
You are a condescending prick who thinks you are better because
1. You live and work in Alabama?
2. You support Bama?
3. You are an insecure, ignoramus who is more used to the circle jerk that is found in every Bama forum and forgot that you were on an LSU board.

Yeah Bama Offense which gave its best shot with trick plays and couldn't get past the 19 yard line but once is better
The LSU D which kept you out of the end zone and stifled you in OT is the <= in this equation
I see LSU beating you by at least 17 points and you will find yet another excuse come next november.

I think we will lose 24-17. I think we will see more scoring this game because the staffs know first hand how these two teams match up.
I am a BAMA fan and always have been but being honest I have to say that I think LSU is the more complete football team. I think these are two great teams but I think we are lacking a just a few areas that LSU is not and I think that difference is enough to give LSU the win.
I am not really fired up about the game because if we win the vicotry seems cheap to me due to the loss NOv. 5th. I don't think there is any way for Alabama to be the stand alone champion of this year.

Roll Tide!
truth
and his comparison of miles to the bear is spot on. But I think you can also see how much he is influenced by Bo Shembechler

I say Les is weird because he talks in riddles half the time, and that grass eating thing... You guys are a little different down there too. So he's a good match. I didn't mean it as an insult. Sure we have our red neck idiots but every state has that type. LA is just different.
The only reason I have our defense>=LSU's is because we are #1 in every important stat. It hasn't been done since 1930's. If you're not us then at best you're = and more than likely we're >.
I say our offense is a lot better because of the stats and your QB play seems to have gone backwards. JJ looked terrible against UGA and CLM seems to have lost complete confidence in JL.

Yea Scoop but don't forget about not handing out Scholly's for all those other sports taking talent out of the other schools where they 'might' have had a chance to excel.....

Except the most important one, the quality of offenses you faced.

Scoop, you were one of the few who got it right and who had the balls to go against the lazy, cliched narrative, especially The Gump/Saban Narrative.
I felt like I was banging my head against the wall in 2009/2010 when we had SO MUCH good happening and everybody was melting down and the dumbest amongst us were screaming the loudest and their arguments were carrying the day.
Good luck in the game, Scoop and thanks for raising the board IQ.

Don't label something, universally, as a riddle if you (or a minority) can't understand it. He has a different style and probably has a better vocabulary and language comprehension than you do and uses it - hence your inability to make sense of it.

Of course you do. You are a preening, insufferable prick who think that he is superior to any LA player/fan/team/school/coach by merely being from Alabam and supporting Bama.
You wouldn't mention it multiple times in many posts if you didn't think that way - otherwise learn how to post your thoughts properly.

We sure as hell aren't you because we have the most important stat - 13-0.
The LSU D has ensured that the opponents O have scored less than the LSU O EVERY SINGLE GAME.
After all isn't that why they have a D? But oh course you won't mention that because it jars with your sensibilities as a bama fan to accept that not only were they beaten , but at home and to a division rival , who (according to them) is weird.

You are either a very good troll or a complete nincompoop.
I salute you sir either way.

Born and raised in LA, and completely agree with this statement, and am comfortable with it. And it is simply because LA is much more culturally diverse, in some ways good and some ways not so good.
I like the state of Alabama for many reasons (wife is native for one), but it is culturally two dimensional, small exception for the city of Mobile.
