Pate said people would be shocked who would come here. The timing of a coach sucking is a bizarre thing to melt about too.

I agree, which is what makes me hate him even more.

Les was frustrating, and his fandom even more so.

O was just a clown who caught lightning in a bottle, but regressed to the mean as a shitty coach as expected

But I legit hate Brian Kelly

I really think Penn State and LSU are looking at different coaching pools. We’re mainly competing with Florida. I don’t know if we can beat them for Kiffin or Ole Miss, but I believe so. Just have to show we can get him a great NIL situation.

Now’s the time to sell the up and comer too. Which would be fine by me.

“Hey we just paid a zillion dollars to get rid of the guy every single person wanted gone, so we have to go with [cheaper, up and coming coach].”

We’re going to get outbid for Kiffin.

If Kiffin is hired by someone not named LSU this year, he won’t be available next year either

I don't want to throw out a 10/140M contract after this BK fiasco

No one is forcing Lasau to move on him this season.

Thry could allow him next season if the coaching availabilities would be better suited for a hire.

One more season wont hurt anymore than this one is going to hurt.

Clark Lea is interesting

Yes he’s being carried by a qb but still seems like a damn good coach and won’t be all that costly….dont love going defensive guy in this era but not a bad option

Like I said on the CC board, cut out the middleman and just hire Jerry Kill to an admin/oversight role. He's the magic man at Vandy.

There are coaches out there. This board knows about three names.

Drinkiwitz. Deboer. Hell if we had hired Elko folks would’ve melted.

You say this, and then say this

Elko was one of the hottest names the year he was hired, #2 behind DeBoer (just hired way before him, so he'd have been #1 if Saban didn't retire most likely).

Kiffin is a shitty option. Plus I don’t think he really even wants to leave Ole Miss. he’s just going to use us and Florida to get that pay bump that LSU is famous for getting for Jimmy sexton.

Unfortunately the very best options are all at the schools they attended and probably don’t have much interest in leaving. Brohm, Sitake, Key.

So now you’re in the third basket of potential coaches already. The successful mid majors. Sumrall, maybe Matt Campbell, Fisch, maybe Lashlee.

No home run hire immediately jumps to mind.
