Do you guys go to Gamekeeper's for the games? I'll be there for the bowl.

That was pretty funny! Let me add a few thoughts to keep 'er going...

Indeed! Here are some more!

PSU over Illinois 7-3 at halftime. 14-3 at the end of the 3rd. They gave up 14 in the fourth en route to a fourth quarter shootout win over a 3-9 Illini team.

And the Northwestern game. The one where the vaunted Nittany Lions trailed 13-10 at the half, and it was tied at 13 after 3. A lucky rally in the fourth is what it took.

Let's not forget being tied with Indiana at halftime. And leading by only 7 after 3 quarters. Nice way to dominate a school that finshed 4-8.

So in conclusion ...

v Georgia, LSU losing early in the 4th quarter. Georgia = Dec 28 bowl game

All four teams would beat PSU...

On that day in Evanston, the PSU wide receivers appeared to be suffering from an acute, fleeting form of multiple schlerosis. They flopped out of their cuts like wounded geese recently sprayed by shot. Meanwhile, Clark is certainly an athletic, fine QB, but his prowess is somewhat exaggerated by the fact that he plays alongside three fowl, two concrete pylons, four contestants from The Biggest Loser, one tottering Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon, and a rusty fence. And Royster is a nice Big Ten running back. He had a seventy yard TD run. It was reminscent of certain grainy film reel footage featuring running backs from the 1930's rumbling downfield in twenty seconds flat. I wanted to trot out, hand him a leather helmet, offer a few reassuring words about the Great Depression, and tell him to knock those damn Nazi Krauts dead. Trust me, I had time. For a moment when he was near the fifteen, I thought that I had accidently sat on the remote control and paused the DVR. Then I remembered that I was watching it live. Oops.

Best thing I read here all year. Well done.

Sounds like Joe Pa may be just as quick as most of the players.

Dude,
Do people from "The Keystone State" not have a sense of humor?

It's an LSU board and the poster's intent was to entertain not provide an insightful analysis of the matchup.

Be of good cheer and lighten the F*%k up.

I can't believe I'm going to watch this game. Seriously. Entertaining such a horrible match up. I hope Ohio State loses to Oregon as well. Am I the only person that is sick of seeing Big 10 teams starting off the season ranked 4-15 just to get humiliated in their bowl games?

The reason why Big 10 teams are still even in bowl games is because they pick out irrelevant statistics to prove their worth. Here's an example:

Big Ten Bowl Results
CR...NR...Team...........W/L......Team..........CR.....NR
t6...NR...Wisconsin......13-42....Florida St....t4.....NR (ACC)
4....22...Northwestern...30-23(OT)Missouri.......2.....25 (Big XII)
t6...NR...Minnesota......21-42....Kansas.........7.....NR (Big XII)
5....NR...Iowa...........31-10....So. Carolina..t5.....NR (SEC)
3....19...Michigan St....12-24....Georgia........3.....16 (SEC)
1.....6...Penn State.....24-38....USC............1......5 (PAC 10)
2....10...Ohio State.....21-24....Texas.........t3......3 (Big XII)

Thus far the Big 10 (1-6) has:

Played a higher ranked team (nationally) 3 times and is 0-3 in those games (W: L: Georgia (16) over Michigan State (19), USC (5) over Penn State (6), Texas (3) over Ohio State (10))
Played a lower ranked team (nationally) 1 time and is 0-1 in that game (W: L: Missouri over Northwestern)
Played a opponent who finished higher in their conference 2 times and are 0-2 in those games (W: ; L: Florida State over Wisconsin, Missouri over Northwestern)
Played an opponent who finished lower in their conference 2 times and are 0-2 in those games (W: L: Kansas over Minnesota, Texas over Ohio State)
Played an opponent who had an equal rating in their conference 3 times, and are 1-2 in those games (W: Iowa over South Carolina; L: Georgia over Michigan State, USC over Penn State)
W/L record v. Conf:
1-1 v. SEC
0-3 v. Big XII
0-1 v. ACC
0-1 v. PAC 10
Average score (Total score in parens)

All Games:.B10..20.7..(145)...Opp..30.0...(210)
Vs ACC:....B10..13.....(13)...Opp..42.....(42)
Vs Big XII:B10..21.7...(65)...Opp..32.....(96)
Vs SEC:....B10..21.5...(43)...Opp..17.....(34)
Vs PAC10:..B10..24.....(24)...Opp..38.....(38)
Average Margin of Victory: 21 (1 games)
Average Margin of Loss: 14.3 (6 games)

They'll point out that, HEY! Last year we were 1/1 vs the SEC, and we had the higher margin of victory!

Notice that they claimed Iowa as Big 10 number 5, as opposed to 4th or atleast "tied for 4th" and called South Carolina SEC "tied for 5th" not 6th under Conference Rankings (CR).

It's a shame that College football has come to rhetoric and politics. If we are going to stick with BCS, then going two years with out a BCS bowl victory, should = not allowed to start off the season preranked 1-10. Also, the tie ins have to disappear, the Rose bowl is a joke. Oregon State got embarrased by MWC last night, so lets see if it even matters who wins out of OSU (who lost to USC) and Oregon (who's in the ACC).

Didn't LSU struggle with Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Washington and LA Tech?

They struggled with Miss State, they played La Tech with Jared Lee... that's self explanatory. They won, that's all that matters. Speaking of struggling... didn't Texas have to pull out a miracle to beat Nebraska?

Ahh, the bigassed, slow, plodding oafs that play in the Big 10. It will be fun to watch what Oregon does to Ohio State. It has always perplexed me why Big 10 teams has horrible team speed. Can't they recruit some southern boys to help them pick it up a little?
