Only threat I see is Alabama and we get them at home. Plus we actually have a QB this year==that has to count for something.

if just one of our receivers shows the ability to stretch the field....we gonna' be a load.

I think we will but won't get the praise that we received last year due to the easier schedule. That is fine with me. Hope we use a lot of players in these easier games this year and end up healthy and more experienced in the last third of the season. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!

I agree with this message! The team is loaded and they have something to prove. IMHO it is either Championship or bust!

I believe we have the talent (@ qb especially) & the "want" to go undefeated again this year but how many teams have been able to go undefeated in back to back years? Much less undefeated in the SEC back to back? This team has the talent-even moreso than last year(again, see qb)-to go undefeated but after many years of watching college football-any sport for that matter-it is VERY VERY hard for a team to repeat undefeated seasons. I hope like hell it happens and if it does, the 2011 & 2012 LSU football teams should be considered 2 of the greatest football teams of all times.

Last year before the season started, I figured we had a good team, but not an undefeated type team.

I don't think I've ever had higher hopes going into a season as much as this one. Talent wise/schedule wise/the intangibles associated with a bunch of guys that got SO close to perfection last year.....

This should be the year. Last year was incredible, and it took a really screwed up set of circumstances to keep us from an NC.

I really think this is the year of not only winning every game, but beating the crap out of everyone we face.

Why?

Sure, anything can happen. But if you look at last year's roster and schedule vs. this year's in a vacuum, we have a way better chance of going undefeated this year than we did last year.

I'm not one to make outlandish statements often, but this very well could be LSU's most talented and deepest team ever.

I'm not sure about that, it's just too difficult in the SEC, but I like the way you're thinking!

this one thing is HUGE, if we have an above average pass threat, we will be able to run against 6 in the box and get sick numbers for our stable of runners.

3 backs over 100 yards in one game....could happen

imagine this squad if Mo and Brockers stayed put. imagine last years squad if PP7 didn't jump to the league. I know it's "woulda', coulda', shoulda'"...but does anybody seriously think that Bama beats us with a defensive backfield of PP7, Mo, Tyrann, Brooks, Reed, Simon and Taylor?

c'est la vie.

We are going to beat that arse this year. Screw Bama. They are a minor speedbump this year.

To win the SEC
LSU +200
Alabama +175

To win the NC
LSU +400
Alabama +500
