His only legitimate competition to start at QB next year is if LSU brings in a transfer. (Which is likely since I don't think Kelly is comfortable with the QB depth chart being Nuss, a RS Freshman (Collins), and a 17 year old reclassified early enrollee (Hurley).

Plus, he will be playing behind a stacked offensive line (even if Dellinger and Frazier declare), with Campbell, Heard, and Jones as 3 of your starting 5. Taylor, Markway, and Pimpton at TE.

If he dips into the transfer portal again, he'll be correctly labelled as having "no chest".

Guys, I swear on my life I’m not trolling. It really is just a hunch I have. Believe me, I hope I eat crow and am dead wrong. But I’m bumping this thread if I’m right.

Youre getting criticized but youre making a legit point. Despite the crap posted earlier this season, Nuss hasn’t shown much on the field. Potential isn’t enough and neither is arm strength alone.
It’s even more ridiculous to say he’s “guaranteed” to be the starter next year. That’s the fan boi crowd again. No second stringer is guaranteed a start a season in advance.
