Ideally you want a personality at QB that is obsessive, that refuses to be content. That type of thinking is actually dysfunctional in a way but it serves athletes well. Joe Burrow was obsessive.

Contentment, saying I did the best I could, is actually a healthy mindset generally speaking, but not what you want to hear from a QB leading a top 10 team.

We don't need him to be Burrow but the mindset of contentment is not conducive for greatness, or for getting the best out of yourself.

If that was his ALL, then time for next man up. The whole interview showed an entitled kid who appeared to be pissed that anyone would question his deer in the headlight introduction to the nation. I guess he doesnt realize that he's the guy who touches the ball 100% of the time when we are on offense. He is responsible for reading defense and putting offense in a position to win battles and protection.

He gave it his ALL?! This is big boy football not little league. Anyone thinks Chase saw his entitled approach and decided I’m not playing with this snowflake....

What has he been doing during the years on the bench? If he is the best we have at the QB position, then OMG someone has been lying to tiger nation.

Yes, the defense "DBU" was another issue, but lets not let this guy off the hook. His responses came across like it was everyone else’s problem rather than taking accountability/ownership for not being prepared and executing period full stop.

it took Burrow a year in the SEc to get it together as well. Same as it took the WR's and OL dam near a full year to get it together. With no preseason and a record # of departures it's just going to take some time this year to really get rolling. But again, remember how Burrow looked his first year behind a non cohesive Oline and with inconsistent WR's. Then jump forward to the Tex AM and the Central Florida games at the end of the year of how much progress Burrow had made. Shelvin at DT and O' Grady at WR opting out and Stingley being injured were huge as well along with a record amount of juniors going pro.

Exactly! Headline should be "LSU QB Held Hostage" by his own poor showing and execution.

Unfortunately, Joe Brady not here to whisper magic into QB position.
