I find it astonishing that Tennessee is only a 2.5 to 3 point favorite

as a #8 ranked team against LSU this Saturday. For me, it shows that Vegas at least thinks LSU's defense can either contain the high flying Vol offense or our offense keep up. I think the former, but whatever, that's a much lower spread than I would have thought.

Because they’ve beaten nobody and we have a higher composite talent roster than them
Add home field. We should win this game

Line seems fine ? You just don’t know what you’re talking about
Tenner would be about -9 on their home field

Agreed.

#8 means nothing. Look at their results. A blocked extra point and an OT win and LSU would be ranked ahead of them.

Did you watch the game Saturday night? Idc what the composite talent roster is. The defense is pretty damn good but we have no shot if the offense plays like it did.

Might be stealing $ giving the points, if you bet.
Not even a surprise if LSU starts slow once again like the FSU and AU games. Could easily see us down 21 - 0 in the 1st before JD gets his 1st completion on a 3 yard out on 3rd and 15 to end the quarter.

Denbrock better script Jayden to play fast and furious.

Unless we give up waaay too many big plays (busted coverages), we should beat UT. Don't listen to the talking heads, Tenn hasn't beaten anybody and have racked up stats against much inferior opponents. The media wants them to be good again so bad. Plus, they need to have the SEC-E look good so UGA can be propped up if they lose a game.
Realistically, Tenn hasn't shown anything notable yet. If JD can get the passing game going, LSU can actually be a dangerous team to play. Imagine if our D could take more chances and not feel as if they need to be perfect to keep us in games. A better offense does wonders for a defense as well.

Their OT win over Pitt is looking less impressive by the week and they tried like hell to choke away the Florida game. Those have been their only tests.
I don't find the line all that astonishing since the jury is still out on how good Tennessee actually is.

I love LSU to the death, but gimme UT -3. They’re better than us. And should win.
Man I’d frickin love to be wrong here tho.

Vegas lines don’t predict a winner or judge competitive balance between teams. They set lines to get 50/50 betting balance. They know a lot of people have and will bet LSU at home +2.5 (opened at 4.5) due the TS being one of the top home field advantages in CFB.

Same thoughts. Bottom line is everybody needs to get realistic on expectations.
BK took over a team that had 37 players available for a humiliating bowl beat down by KSU. The program was in worse condition than when Saban took over. All this we have talent was bullshite.
A 6 - 6 season with a bowl game facing this schedule is an achievement in Year 1. Another SEC win and UAB gets us to a bowl. Any other win is a gift.
It will take 1, if not, 2 more years to compete for the West so expecting us to beat a Top 10 and all the remaining ranked teams is pretty delusional.

Vegas doesn’t have shorted sighted last thing they saw view mess with their judgements like LSU fans do.
They do things mainly on analytics and the analytics are very high on LSU.
