The one downfall to that is that Coach O will have success as Interm. We won't give him the job at the end of the year and he will leave for a HC job.

could be one of the worst things they could do at this point, IMO.... not that he couldn't do it, hell he did well at it at USC... but if we want any chance of retaining him after the fact, promoting him, only to try and return him to his position coaching gig, especially if he does decent, will ruin that chance...

I haven't read that much detail but he seems like the reasonable choice

Right. And Joe Alleva and the entire Board are going to state publicly that they bombed last years decision to keep Miles. They'll also state they're willing to take pies in the face for their shortcomings.

If O is able to resurrect this team he deserves the job. Bring in an innovative OC and give him control. Could absolutely work!

Losing O after a successful interim job is not worse than a 5monh shite show all over national press and tossing the remaining season and dropping fan morale to zero.
