Yep, with Kade Anderson, the pitcher in the title of the thread

Now here we are without a MLB quality pitcher and about to miss the postseason and can't field groud balls the last week of April

Brother, nobody expected a championship this year.

We're not even gonna make a regional

Do you think Ed O could have taken the football equivalent of Arizona to the championship?

and he’s been two times at a previous school.
how many deep runs has O made outside of 2019?

which was the point of my post.
Jay has an actual track record of success. for his entire career.

which it pretty much the exact polar opposite of O.

is he perfect?
of course not.

but got damn, the gap between him and Ed is astronomical.

Yeah but the point was retarded.

Good coaches get good players on their good teams and they win games. When good coaches don't get as many good players, their teams don't win as many games.

It's not fricking rocket science.

This is what happens when you have a team win a national title:
quote:

The calendar needs to be fixed. The portal opened on June 2. LSU was playing games until June 23, with 10 of those days (June 10-June 23) being in Omaha. The Draft Combine is June 13-17. Then the draft is July 13-15. It's not like football where you can host guys for weeks and weeks while still playing in the post season. Guys you want are likely playing the first weekend. That leaves you with about 5 days to really talk to guys between game/travel schedule prior to Omaha.

Then imagine if you're looking at a guy playing on the second weekend (16 teams). You get what, a day with them before Omaha? If everything lines up perfectly?

Teams that sit at home should not get a 10 day head start to recruit players because they faltered. It will (likely) help us this season, sure. But it was ridiculous that Tony was doing in-home's with Landon Mack last year while Jay was stuffing DVH in a locker 1000 miles away.
Go look and see how many teams have dominated in consecutive years in this sport since 2021. The answer is zero. No one has had more success since Jay Johnson has been the head coach at LSU, than LSU.

Hell no

Jay Johnson is the ten times the coach Ed Oregon is. That's not the point of the thread

It's just that is this year the product we have to come to expect when we don't have a Skenes/Anderson?

Go find me a team that's won a title in the last 10 years without an MLB quality pitcher.

Again. No coach has won a championship without good players. This entire thread is dumb and you should feel bad

2022 and 2024 say no. I wouldn’t extrapolate one data point that much. But that’s just my prediction.

So we've got one team that was objectively bad and then caught fire and won a national title.

Them and Coastal are the only teams that fit this mold in the last 20 years.

Do you not see how that invalidates your entire post?

No, I directly compared their years without a generational talent being MEH

Sorry you can't read

But I will give you props. You've been raging like a little angry retard in multiple thread all season trying to convince people this isnt a bad baseball team. Keep fighting the good fight

Hey, you're the who told me to find a team who doesnt need a Paul Skenes/Kade Anderson quality pitcher to make it to Omaha, and I did exactly that lmao

Skenes was generational.

Anderson/Eyanson were very damn good….but not generational.
