It's gonna be ok. Lsu fans need to relax and let this play out. Nobody said this was gonna be easy.

Probably so but that goes back to "Jimbo (or insert your #1 here) or bust"

You almost have to get rid of Miles now so if you go through all this just to roll out Kliff Kingsbury to the podium next week, well...

Uhh no. You don't fire a successful head coach for a mediocre hire.

At this point Les has no chance of being successful going forward.

Frankly I think at this point they should just go all in on Herman and let people freak out. Dude is the future.

apparently UT is his dream school so you run the risk of him bolting as soon as that job opens up.

but otherwise...i would probably take Herman over Jimbo

Well, there always a situation to make it work.

I mean, Tuberville survived the whole Bobby Lowder thing which was, believe it or not, even worse.

But he can't survive this and drop 3-4 next year with all the chum already in the water from this year.

are tweets and comments coming out of the woodwork saying that Fisher isn't coming here. And Miles retaining his position.

I guess I shouldn't have slept in this morning. Where are these tweets/comments about Jimbo and Les? Are they from notable people that would actually know or just some anonymous assholes trying to get some web site clicks?

Holy shite. Did you really just type this?

If Les survives this he has to, at the very minimum, win the West next season

That would be the expectation. And I don't think it's unfair.

Herman or Fedora would probably be fine but they clearly aren't the first choice. Would Les have been fired knowing the first choice wasn't coming? Or give him another year and see if anyone better is available?

Personally if Jimbo isn't coming I'd like to see them try for Chip Kelly

Hard to see both Les and Alleva surviving. One will be gone.

I'm pretty sure the expectations have been set by those wanting miles fired.. They are very clear, compete for national championships, sec titles and defeat bama..

Possibly, but we are finding out first hand that guys at established programs generally stay there. I wouldn't imagine he'd do it twice like Les though.

Oh how people forget just how pedestrian miles' record was as a head coach before coming to LSU.

I've already put you in your place on this topic a few times, don't make me do it again.

There are easily 15-20 coaches at a minimum who could lead us to 8-3 or 9-2 regular seasons every single year. No risk in replacing an overpaid bafoon of a coach.

So why pay two for the same record?
