No it's fricking not. How stupid are you?
Reasonable people would agree that rules are broken on a consistent basis by members of the football team. Yet, the coaches overlook many minor violations of the rules.
So, the discussion hinges on what is considered a punishable offense. If you agree that failing a drug test should be deemed as behavior that results in a one game suspension, fine. However, you're apparent insistence that "rules are rules" and "there are consequences for all of these rules" is just dumb.

Ah more name calling, you are slowly losing the slight grasp you have. It may be time to turn off the computer and step away.
I am sorry if you do not believe in the rules and believe all rules should be flexible. I will pray for you

What logically commits me to believing that "all rules should be flexible"? Because I believe I would overlook one violation of a particular rule commits me to believing that all rules should be flexible? I've already stated my position multiple times. I think the punishment is incongruous with the crime. I think it's an unjust consequence.
I guess if this is the case, Rosa Parks also believes in total anarchy. God forbid she refuse to follow a law on the books. The Underground Railroad was also a step towards total anarchy because if you don't agree with one rule or the consequences associated with one rule in one particular instance, then you believe all rules are pointless or flexible.

Your purple and gold glasses are thick, imagine if Auburn or Alabama would be doing this, you would be up in arms, red faced, etc.
So now what these players did is the equivalent of Rosa Parks, I will inform them of this

Did you really just compare players smoking weed to the civil rights movement?
Good god man.
BTW mlk advocated dressing and acting as good as possible in line with the law.

well if rumors are trye they didnt know they were going to get in trouble.
very possible these guys arent drinkers, or dont during the season. so they did something to ease their mind, and it did come back to bite them in the arse.
so for you to say that is just speculation and wrong.
kind of like the whole JJ thing and him curb stomping a marine.
so im not exactly sure what the deal is and ill refrane from passing judgment until a realiable source comed out and says exactly what they are suspended for.

if their thc count was out the roof, they are stupid cus thats pretty damn easy to get caught for on a drug test. and they knew they were breaking team rules.

Rather severe. Do you pray for Billy Budd too?
Have you forgotten the words of The Bard?
The quality of mercy is not strain'd,
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath: it is twice blest;
It blesseth him that gives and him that takes
One final literary reference for the inflexible Tulane fan:

I'll always be behind the team. Can't wait for the guys to be back and I hope it wont be long. But the action was stupid not because of what they did to themselves, but the jeopardy they put the rest of the team in by doing it.

Personally, I don't give a shite about the fact that they smoked weed because I myself used to smoke at their age. But apparently, one thing that you and those 3 players need to learn is that rules are rules and you have to abide by them. If they want to be regular college students that can get loaded every night and smoke weed when they want to, fine. I have no problem with that. But the price is they have to turn in their uniforms and not play football anymore.
However, if they want to continue to play football, well then the price is to follow the rules.
Period. Whether you think weed should be legal or not is a moot point here. It's that the rules state they can't smoke it.
It's the same way in life dude. If you want a good paying job, chances are the price you're gonna have to pay is to stop smoking because you will most likely get tested. Some companies continue random testing after being hired. Don't want to be tested by your employer? Well then there are tons of restaurant jobs that don't test out there and you can party all you want.
