re: I don't know if it's due to older age, but I woke up completely apathetic about the loss

This is what got me apathetic a few years ago. I just don’t care about going to the games anymore. They priced out all the old tailgaters and ruined the Gameday atmosphere on campus. It feels like a cheap county fair now.

You are not alone. I've wrapped up football for the season.
I'm just going to enjoy the holidays in the next weeks.

I turned 53 yesterday and just cannot get emotionally involved into it like I used to. It is age and I am happy this unnecessary stress doesn't bother me. I will say this you fans that constantly complain, you need to chill because it isn't worth it.

loss at Clemson

That's guaranteed with Kelly as our coach.

He will spend the whole offseason making wrong decisions with his players and coaches.

Same. LSU football doesn't ruin my mood anymore. I still watch and I'm a fan but it just isn't as important to me as it used to be.

It happened to me after 1-9-2012. I still want our Tigers to win, but I’ve grown numb to LSU teams with talent other schools only could dream of coupled with poor coaching. I’m 55 and yes age might have calmed me down some, but I don’t think that’s totally it. Poor coaching, can’t get home before 3:00 AM when we play a night game, and the greed of the game by the universities and players have made me not care as much as I did years ago. This isn’t collegiate sports anymore.

It's not that you don't care. You wouldn't be here posting about the game on Sunday morning if you didn't care. You're just lowering your expectations because you see the reality of what LSU is going to be for the next few years under Brian Kelly.

Whatever happened to these kids who were true fans of LSU and wanted to play here because they bled P&G and had pride for our state? Now it's all $$$

Those days are over. This right here goes to the heart of what has ruined college football.
