I don't get the hate for Eli Ricks

He’s allowed to make decisions, and we’re allowed to look down on them. Part of being a paid adult athlete.

I’d make my son walk his arse to Tuscaloosa if he tried to quit on his team like that.

I think most people don’t hate the kid, but he did transfer to our most hated team. I can understand a little hostility amongst fans. It’s mostly just to point out that maybe transferring doesn’t always turn out to be the best decision.

I don't think there is actual hate. There is, however, appreciation for his failure.

What did he do last season that you are upset about losing?

Are you whiners upset that Anderson picked Alabama as well. Is his return to LSU sufficient to be forgiven?
What if he is a "bust"? Does he lose his pardon?

I don't hate him, but I can certainly laugh at his poor decision making process.

Overcoming some adversity is just what he needed, but instead he took the easy way out. Had he stayed, overcame his nature and situation, who knows how successful he could have been.

It's more disappointing than anything. I kind of feel bad for the kid, but only kind of.

Why couldn't you just type this in the thread discussing Ricks? Did you really feel your own personal thoughts warranted an entirely different thread?
