LSU beat Auburn 23-20
Auburn beat Mississippi 20-14
Therefore, LSU is better than Mississippi in 2 rounds by a combined score of 43-34
On the other hand...
Mississippi beat Vanderbilt 31-6
Vanderbilt beat Missouri 21-14
Missouri beat South Carolina 34-14
South Carolina beat Georgia 20-17
Georgia beat Florida 24-17
Florida is better than LSU because Florida beat Vanderbilt 56-0 and LSU only beat Vanderbilt 66-38
Therefore, Mississippi is better than LSU in 6 rounds by a combined score of 186-134

Well, you should always just go with the head to head.
So, Ole Miss beat vandy 31-6 and LSU beat Vandy 66-38. So, LSU is better 72 - 69.
Any time an undefeated team wins by 30, I'm not sure they are super worried about how many points they give up.
Florida and its two losses on the other hand, has got to style its butt off to help itself in the post season.
