He was committed for a long time to them and flipped a few days before NSD. It was afire,Ltd a pretty crazy story with Willie Gay. Moses burned us and then drug the staff along. Patrick Queen Greeley helped in his recruitment.

What’s crazy is that Mosss was the golden boy, Phillips was the #1 ILB out of state there everyone wanted. Willie Gay was the #2 OLB behind Moses and Queen was just a 3* LA boy that loved LSU.

Looks like Queen may end up being the best of all of them

That’s why people shouldn’t pay attention to the star and class rankings. LSU can win every year on Louisiana talent alone!

Can't blame him. The pay was better.

I remember the melt. Have fun losing 4 games a year. Lol

If we win a natty this year, I’m sure they’ll melt again

Sooners melted so hard when he flipped. We told em for months he was ours and they didn’t want to believe it. Even their insiders swore he wasn’t going to flip until he did. That LB class has produced three studs in him, K’lavon, and Pat.

Their fans were so angry. "Why doesn't he want to come to Oklahoma and win a Butkus Award? He could be the next Teddy Lehman or Rocky Calmus."

I was always thinking that it was obvious that he wanted to go someplace where he'd be drafted before the last 2 rounds.

Phillips is from TN. Burrow from OH. Delpit from TX. Stevens from TN. Ika is from UT. Deculus is from TX. Damien Lewis is from MS. Moss is from N.C.

You get the point? This 13-0 team is made up of more than LA players. I don't know the last time a QB from LA that played at LSU did anything significant. Mail, Flynn, and Russell were from out of state.

I agree with RBs, WRs, and DBs most consistently could be plucked out of LA alone. But are we talking about just winning (7-5 or better) or potentially winning national championships?

No coach making 5-6 million/yr will jeopardize that by giving a kid money. There's too much available talent.
