The series go in cycles....earlier this century, LSU won like 6 in a row against bama, and 8 of 10, or something like that. Saban changed that. But, Saban isn't there anymore, and Deboar ain't even close to saban.
but, it looks like facts don't matter to you, that you are on this board for one reason.

We haven't been a national title contender- or anything approaching it - in six years. Sorry, that's too long for a program of LSU's caliber. No one is demanding perennial NCs, but in age where 12 teams make the playoffs, its not unrealistic to aspire to make those playoffs on annual basis, or at least the overwhelming majority of years. You can get in with three losses from the SEC, as Bama just demonstrated. You can maintain your low expectations, but they are irrational in the modern playoff era.

I figured that would go over your head. You think LSU is different from about 20 other top programs. I would like us to be more consistent, sure, but you cannot take away, again, that we only trail Alabama for NC's over the last 25 years. Making playoffs is fine....I want championships. When we are good, we are really good. There isn't a program in this country I would want to trade places with, for the performance over the last 25 years...none. Aside from winning 3 Natties and playing for another in football.....we have also won multiple baseball titles, and a women's basketball title...not to mention lower level programs such as gymnastics has also won a title. Wanting more is fine....but you might want to be thankful for what we have had. But, I am going to go out on a limb and say you are fairly young and just spoiled.
