He is a 6'4" safety with ELITE field awareness/vision and is leading our team in interceptions and sacks. That's not normal. Hes just as good in coverage as he is around the line of scrimmage. Jamal Adam's is an all time great at LSU and hes outplaying him at the same point in his career as Jamal.

The second the opposing quarterback cocks back his arm Delpit is already in a dead sprint to make the interception or break up the pass. He is a monster. DBU tradition is strong with him playing center field.

Delpit just has more opportunities to make plays than Greedy. Coaches tell Greedy to shut down one side of the field and he does it. He does what hes asked to do. So does Delpit. Having both of them in the same secondary is insane. Potentially two top 10 picks in the same secondary.

I’ve been saying he’s better than Adams

Agreed and when he was out last week the secondary took a major hit and it was an obvious hole. Wish Monroe would come back soon too. We need him to be getting some playing time. Where did Stevens go? I thought he was playing well at the beginning of the season!

Kid is a stud!! We were taking during the game about if Chaisson was in how sick that Defense would be and it’s still outstanding.

he is phenomenal He is such a beast blitzing and in run support and his coverage has gotten better. Not to mention he's a leader I enjoy watching him play.

Delpit is much better in coverage than Jamal, more dangerous as a pass rusher, and probably a bit worse in run stopping. Overall I think he’s better.

He's our new pass rusher. With K. Sult getting better and stepping it up last night, we'll be able to bring Delpit in more and more.

Reminds me of the olden days of L. Landry. I've missed watching those blitzes

Hats off to the entire team and coaching crew (and our 12th man... the ump)

The other corners are starting to step it up a little also, good play throughout the secondary for the most part. Wouldn’t be too upset if we got some youth on the field more to sub Battle. Could use some more experience at the other safety spot for next year.

Our defense seems to reach its full potential when we blitz him. It just seems to overwhelm the other team because he gets in there so fast. Last night, we sent him on one play and an Ole Miss guy completely wrecked him, he got back up and somehow still chased the QB down and sacked him.

Good, we are going to need him to get 2 picks against Georgia and like 5 picks against bama.

I knew Delpit was going to be fire after watching the 2017 Spring Game.
