He may very well be in the long run, but he was absolutely ineffective against Auburn. High passes mis-timing his receiver's breaks, etc. That being said AJ is not much better. Also Harris had handcuffs on in that he was only allowed to throw 3X in the first 20 or so minutes in that game.

I place that though, squarely on Miles and Cameron.

I think les is trying to save harris from the fate lee suffered his freshmen year. The problem with doing that whenever he gets harris in...say next year...he has to undergo a steep learning curve....vice he could have been learning and taking his lumps now. But les is bringing in a couple of talented running backs next year to hang his hat on.

I totally agree that change is needed. I'm just praying for a scenario that gets Harris on the field. He might throw some picks but the kid will sling it and give us some swag IMO

Miles has stated multiple times that Harris is more talented. However, much like the JL pick six season in '08, the AU game has apparently made Les gunshy of Harris. I think we'll see him in the aTm game at some point.

Everyone brings up Auburn, but doesn't bring up the New Mexico State game. That was the shittiest QB performance we've seen. Harris was bad on the road at a superior Auburn. Jennings shite the bed at home against an inferior NISH. Then Harris comes in and destroys them.

I believe they are starting the QB that is less likely to get rattled by the environment. If Harris would have played better against AU, he would be getting more looks. He is a true freshman, and it showed. The talent is there, but he just needs to settle down.

And Jennings is Mr. Composure!

It's been two months since he has been in a real game situation. (Handing the ball off while Jennings get his facemask fixed doesn't count) Think it's possible he is ready for another shot. AJ played like shite for weeks, played the worst Qtr of football I have ever seen against the worst opponent of the year, then was allowed to come back in the next game. He has never come out despite throwing for less than 50% completion percentage and having 3 huge turnovers in his last 3 games. Why does he have a seperate level he has to play at in order to keep getting reps?

With the way the O line played, Harris would have snapped in half.

if harris makes quick throws/reads, it backs off the defense

During game adjustments is something Les sucks at. Not to give JL or Zach a shot when you can't cross midfield is a great example

hows he supposed to do that if he never gets in?

I thought we'd be pass holding the Auburn game against Harris more than a month later, but I guess not.

They bring up Auburn but Harris led the only score vs Auburn and was in position to score after his 32 yd run when Miles let the clock run out at the half. He was not responsible for our Defense letting Auburn score every time they touched the ball in the first qtr or for the conservative game plan that put him under center handing the ball off for 17 of the first 19 plays. The standard conservative time of possession running game failed against a spread read-option quick strike offense, like State's, and utilized none of his talents he displayed against State and NMST. The game plan resulted in a 31-7 halftime blowout. The Defense could not or cannot defend against the spread read-option with a good running QB: in other words a QB like Harris, in the shotgun.

Jennings came in for the last 1.5 qtrs and was able to do nothing even though they opened the offense and went for it 4 times on 4th down. We were 0-13 on 3rd down conversions.

If Harris had turned the ball over in the Ole Miss game 2X with LSU trailing in the 4th, in the ALA game, or fumbled at ARK he would have been burned at the stake and the Rant would be exploding. AJ can be the worst there ever was and that is better than Harris who has as many TDs in 1/10th the time, an NFL arm, quick feet, and the highest SEC Passer Rating. Why?

Miles said in his post game interview that he does not know what is wrong with the offense and that LF did not play because ARK used a different defense than his plays were suited for???? So LF does not know the playbook or did Reuben Foster's attempt to knock him out of the game take a toll?

Georgia just beat Aub 34-7 at home so every Dawg has his day in the SEC and home field is an advantage: Ole Miss victory and close with ALA.

This is what it comes down to. It is Miles' job to lose and it's his decision to make. It is easy to criticize from afar and speculate what should be done. I am disappointed in the team's performance this year, but to think i know what needs to be done to fix it would be ridiculous of me.
