To keep this ship rolling next year, the play book and knowledge doesn't just get deleted you know
We'll have to see O's next move though

What joe did was tailor made an offense for Steve. Now steve have shown other than the base abilities he can't do that, he needs help.

fricking Ensminger offense was 2 TE sets with a FB

LSU offense success was 80% due to Joe Burrow (and a set of excellent receivers) IMO. The scheme and play calling is still there. We should focus on getting another QB like JB instead of focusing on who is calling the plays. Next year the offense was not going to be the same without Joe Burrow anyway and Joe Brady knew it. The success of the offense depends on how the QB performs next year.

The offense is installed. The reads, protections, etc. Coach E just needs to keep it on cruise control.

They can start by Brennan and the receivers throwing 10,000 passes during the summer.

Burrow threw for 394 yards and 4 TD's against UCF last year.

There’s no damn way
Look, if they were both given a pool of the same 10 plays in an overtime, they wouldn’t call them the same
It’s hard to break old habits
It’s hard not to regress when things go bad
Calling plays is more than just having the plays

You can't learn the ability to be creative or innovative. You can learn an offense, but it will be out dated quickly. New concepts and outside the box ideas are needed from game to game. Ensminger's creativity results in "0" points against a great defense. People are not understanding what makes Brady amazing. If it was just learning an offense and then bam, your good, then every team would be running this great offense.

The offense evolves. Always. Brady continually installed new plays. Brady is the one who identified mismatches, tendencies, and made in game adjustments in real time.
Brady was working every day with the WRs. He worked every day with the QBs/WRs on route running, timing, blocking, etc.
The offense looked the way it did because of Brady's coaching. You can't just leave the playbook behind and somehow expect all of that to remain.
If Ensminger is the only guy in 2020, you'll get offensive production similar to 2018. The execution and attention to detail won't be there, and it will show.

FIFY
Everyone acting like E is some idiot that Brady had to work around is so damn silly.
They both benefitted from the relationship, but E likely taught Brady more about coaching than Brady could have ever hoped to teach him.

Yeah I bet Ensminger turned them down before they offered Brady hahaha

No. That was the Miles offense.
Go watch the last three games from 18. Burrow threw for nearly 1000 yards and 9 TDs to close out the year before Brady was even a thing.

Exactly. If all Ensminger does is copy Brady’s plays, then it’s inevitable that opposing defensive coordinators will catch on. The offense needs to be dynamic and evolving. Ensminger hasn’t shown that he can be any of those things. Like Miles, he is a relic of days gone by. Before you know it, we’ll be back to the days of 2 TE sets and fullbacks running up the middle.

So there really is a secret playbook?

I believe Brady learned a lot from Ensminger

If you look at the actual plays, it wasn’t the scheme, or the play call that won the day, it was the execution. Burrow escaping pressure and dropping a dime. Chase, Moss, Jefferson and Marshal winning jump balls and back shoulder throws. That’s not Brady; that’s athletes.
I worry a lot more about Burrow leaving than Brady leaving.

It's amazing how many on here don't understand this.
Reverting back to just Ensminger in 2020 will result in an offense that mirrors 2018 in terms of production.
Three and outs, stalled drives, no scoring for multiple consecutive quarters, etc. Do people really want to go back to that?
