No matter what you think of who the new coach should be, coach Orgeron has done a damn fine job of keeping this team motivated and together, and that wasn't easy considering he took the team over after four games into the season. I give him HUGE props on making adjustments and keeping this team focused. His damn strong recruiting abilities and personality has been an endearing part of this whole experience, and not just to us, but to people outside looking in.

No matter what you say, coach O is a good guy. I am very grateful he was in the program to take over the reins.

I hope you guys do give him the chance as HC for exactly the reasons you described; 5-2 with one of his two losses playing Bama closer than anyone else has makes a pretty good case. You could do a lot worse.

I thought the rumors/announcements around Herman and his being at the game last night were most inappropriate. Let's show Coach O some respect and at least let him finish the job he was hired to do with dignity.

It would be hard to tell him no, but you can't pass up a guy like Herman

O has been great. If Herman wants it, it is his.

I'm thankful you aren't in control of hiring the next HC of LSU. We don't want or need coach O

I'll be damn happy with Coach so, as will I with Herman, if he keeps Aranda and O on staff (and performs equal to or + than O.

The fricktard fans on this board don't recognize that O is going to be a hard act to follow. Just ask the folks at USC.

I'm not saying he should or shouldn't be HC next year. I'm just saying I am grateful he was here, and appreciate the job he's done, which was not an easy one. It could have fallen apart quite easily, but he took control of the situation right out the gates. I believe he deserves our respect and thankfulness for the job he did. That's all.

Of course I would rather have a coach like Herman or Fisher, but I am not going to sit here and say I know hiring O would kill the program. We look good.

We owe CEO, he held this team together, even got us thinking positive. He had one bad moment--he did not refocus the team after the fight at the start of Florida game. That probably caused him his opportunity as HC.

I feel we need Herman or Jimbo but your comment about wanting CEO is way off. We want him bad just not at HC. I think he did a fantastic job. Thanks CEO and i hope you stay when new HC is here.

No, what we don't need are ungrateful fans like you in our ranks.

Read the words on the page. This isn't about who should or shouldn't be head coach. It's about being grateful for what coach Orgeron did for us. That's all. You know, it doesn't always have to be a pissing contest. You could actually breath and be cool for once.

LSU can not control everyone and the media

LSU did NOT release that information.

So while I agree it was bad timing to come out, it was not out of disrespect of anyone from the LSU side

Mike...thanks for the post. Despite the usual lack of reading comprehension skills displayed here regularly, many of us get it. CEO brought some respect back for many of us and indeed, for the first time in 5 years, I can wear Tiger garb in public here in Gumpland. They're still smug, but they're not loud after only one t.d. BTW for those who only get their opinions while taking tea at Walk-ons or other watering holes deep within the borders of Lousiana, the rest of the world views us with a laugh. The media circus from the end of last season, the "We Love Les" signs (both of them) at TAM in 2015, the rumors this year, the "dismissal"....all paint our University in a questionable light. Is perception reality? Camry drivers, put down the x-box and mull it over.

Let's be real, Aranda is the one that kept it close for LSU when the offense was anemic.
