To be honest, I would be perfectly fine with an LSU win over UF, losing to Bama, Bama loses to UF in SEC championship, UF goes to NC and LSU makes it to Sugar Bowl.... a la '06 season

A 1 lost LSU team (that doesnt play in the SECCG) wouldnt get in the BCSCG over a 2 lost BCS conference champion. See LSU/Georgia 2007

A. Yes, a 1 loss LSU team would probably get in over a 2 loss BCS CC, but not a 1 loss. IF Cincy goes undefeated, they would go before LSU, but a 1 loss Cincy probably would not.
B. What the hell does 2007 LSU/GA have to do with A?

Can't happen... loser of SECCG goes to sugar for sure....

UGA went over Tennessee in 2007.

If the team who wins the Big 10, Big 12, or Pac 10 have 3 losses and Boise State has a loss, it's a small possibility a one loss SEC team plays the SEC winner

-There are no undefeated teams
Do LSU and Florida have a shot to face off in the BCSCG?
Other conferences would go nuts...as if they don't hate the SEC enough.

Michigan 2006
Georgia 2007
History suggests that if LSU does not play in the SEC Championship, they will not play in the National Championship simply because they did not win their conference (Georgia) and because people are not going to want to see a repeat of tomorrow's game (Michigan).
If Florida, Alabama, and LSU are ranked top 3, then in your proposed scenario, #4 (or the next highest-ranking conference champion) would jump LSU for the spot in Pasadena.

no, they know ratings will dip and won't allow it. They will put in another one loss team, now if the next best teams have 2 losses it could get very interesting. When you think about it though, they would never leap frog an LSU team that lost to Bama, who in your scenario is in the sec cg. I think a more likely scenario is a redo of the sec cg.

So replay a game that would have taken place a month prior? For what purpose? If Florida wins the SEC Championship and the National Championship, there will be a huge uproar over why Bama was in the game in the first place. If Florida wins the SEC Championship and loses the National Championship, there will be a huge uproar over who the "real" National Champions are.
How does this make sense?
Florida - National Champions
Alabama - SEC Champions

Yes, If UT, Cincy, and Iowa all lose - a 1-loss LSU goes into the game ahead of the rest. Computer polls strong.

This is so stupid. Anyone remember in '07 how we thought UGA was so stupid for claiming they had an argument for being in the championship game?
THIS IS THE SAME THING
If we don't win the West, we should not play for the title. Pretty easy logic there.

.. and by the way that would be fricking awesome
Ummm...no it wouldn't. Aside from the southern states this would be one of the worst MNCGs ever in terms of ratings. Nobody wants to see a bowl game vs 2 teams from the same conference, let alone the NCG.

A. It's not the same thing. UGA argued that they should go instead of us. We didn't play GA. In this scenario, no one is arguing that we should go instead of Fl, but join them. In addition the scenario states we beat them once.
B. In any playoff scenario, a non-conf champion should qualify only if the conf champion qualifies. This scenario meets that test. However, because there are only two teams that could qualify, there shouldn't be a clearly viable alternative if you let this happen. Except for Cincy (because the BE is somewhat suspect) any one loss team from a BCS conf is viable. The only possible two loss team that could get consideration is OK because their losses would have occurred with Bradford out.

... In this scenario, we don't even win our division.

The voters would never let that happen.
But it would be cool
But it would be cool

Bradford could beat Texas next weekend, and then Pelini shuts the horns down with his smothering defense in the championship game.
